Ben Howard - Keep Your Head Up (why is he re-releasing this?!)

 

Oh this is a really good move for him, 'Keep Your Head Up' is clearly his 2nd most popular song despite being the lowest peaking of the 4 charted singles off 'Every Kingdom' (look at it re-entering the top 75 after the BRITs while 'The Wolves' and 'The Fear' both missed the top 100 (but did get there on iTunes) despite them both peaking higher) so it has a lot of potential to peak far higher this time, provided it gets the support. Maybe he should give 'Old Pine' one last try after this as well before moving onto the next album :P

The new Phoenix track "Entertainment" could get on there at some point, it was Huw Stephens' record of the week (and they've got an album out fairly soon)

 

Yeah they have been getting good support during the evening shows on radio 1 - they should be in the daytime lists nearr to their April release date hopefully!!

I think this is likely to be snubbed now (at least for the moment anyway). Its only hope is that it does well first week so Radio 1/tv add it or its growth in the US (on itunes/pop radio) makes the station see sense. I am still shocked they have ignored it and I can't understand why.

If 'It's Time' doesn't get on next week, then there's a good chance it could be snubbed (which would be REALLY odd - since Radioactive did quite well?)

 

I hope they give Carly Rae Jepsen's new one, Tonight I'm Getting Over You, a chance. I just had a listen to it for the first time and it's really instant and it would work really well on the radio imo. Much better than The Kiss.
