Yeah I wondered where you were, there didn't seem to be much interest in the thread this week!

No idea when Missy Elliott was last on the playlist, but it could have been as recently as 2009 when she featured on the Pussycat Dolls 'Whatcha Think About That', I imagine that was probably playlisted.

Yeah that got to the top 10 so probabaly went blist (as it was the 5th single)

New predictions for this afternoon's playlist?

I'm thinking:

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton – Can't Hold Us

Will.I.Am feat. Justin Bieber – #ThatPower (although I don't see why they haven't added it up until now so maybe they'll snub it?)

Vampire Weekend – Diane Young

Swiss Lips – U Got The Power

Misha B – Here’s To Everything (Ooh La La)

Nicky Romero & Nervo – Like Home

Demi Lovato – Heart Attack (if they don't add this now then they won't)

These will probably be playlisted but may still be a week too early for them:

Laura Mvula – That’s Alright

Monsta – Messiah

Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith – La La La

Swim Deep – She Changes The Weather

Moving up to A-list: Calvin Harris, Clean Bandit (hopefully), Nina Nesbitt, Tom Odell (maybe).

Moving up to B-list: AlunaGeorge, Imagine Dragons, Jakwob, Nelly, Rihanna, Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Off from A-list: Bastille, Paramore, Saturdays.

Swiss Lips – U Got The Power

YES.

I'm thinking Redlight's new single "Switch It Off" will be playlisted (seeing as its release date is 28 April, apparently)

Hope The Sats can get one more week, bringing them to five weeks on the A List. It's not like the song has plummeted in popularity or anything, it's holding steady and being consistent. Bastille was A Listed for a while wasn't he? Sure it was 6/7 weeks? Didn't Ellie Goulding have a long stay on the A List with Explosions too, or am I wrong? So hopefully The Sats can get one more week. Admittedly they're not as 'cool' as Bastille or Ellie, but still. :P

You know Bastille are a band and not just a person, right? anyway they've been on the playlist for 10 weeks (7 on A-list), Explosions was on for 7 weeks (4 on A-list), The Sats have been on for 6 weeks (4 on A-list) so yeah they might get one more week but doubt they'd get any more than that.

Not much more to add - maybe Loveable Rogues - What anight will be added - out 28/4, Pitbull/Christina Aguilera may get added, Gabrielle Aplin - Panic Cord 5/5 & Frank Ocean - Sweet Life 13/5/13? Other than that as was said above!

I assume Amelia Lily's single was pushed back to the 21st in a last ditch attempt to get it playlisted, so maybe that will this evening?

I won't be overly surprised if not though...

Amelia will 100% be snubbed.

Hang on, wasn't 'Sweet Life' released last July? Or was that just in America? I thought 'Forrest Gump' was the next single...

Yep, Amelia and Pitbull/Xtina have officially been snubbed! Surprised at no Redlight or Macklemore though, and surprised they've got rid of The 1975 over Bastille or The Saturdays.

Playlist predictions for this week? I'm going for:

Psy - Gentleman (I can't decide if they'll support this or not, I think they might B/C-list it for a few weeks and then drop it)

Paramore - Still Into You (they really need to playlist this, Now has had its time and this single is brilliant IMO!)

Jessie Ware - Imagine It Was Us (surprised they haven't added this yet)

Azealia Banks – Yung Rapunxel (they might do an OA/OS thing with this, or they might wait a couple of weeks a la Attracting Flies, who knows)

Swiss Lips - U Got The Power (it was Scott Mills' record of the week a couple of weeks ago so I don't know why they didn't add it properly last week)

Stooshe - Slip (I actually think they'll support this)

Dot Rotten - Free

Frank Ocean - Sweet Life

Any other thoughts?

Was it really that early? In that case, yeah they might add it this week, they do love a bit of Jake Bugg!

Yeah it was released on the 11/3 officially (impact wise) but they playlisted it around the end of january. Although this is the 5/6th single albeit from an album which only took off for the average listener (alist on radio 1) in October post album release.

Would be great if they playlisted Passenger too - they always surprise us somehow!! Would also love the new Paramore to be added, but wasnt Now still on last weeks alist?

The new remix of David Guetta's Play Hard was released to radio at the end of last week, so that could be within a shout of being playlisted.
