I know, it's such a shame that Radio 1 aren't going to support her! I thought she might have had even a very small chance with the premiere on Matt Edmondson's show, but it's not going to happen. :( Hopefully her radio tour this week will give her a bit more airplay! :D

 

 

Matt Edminsons show normally showcases acts aimed at teenagers or younger people so alot of the pop acts would get played on his show even without being alisted but they are normally ignored by the main playlist!

Theres another spin of Tinie Tempah's new single on Greg James - could we have our first straight to alist single in an age???

 

Trampoline is brillant - hit me after the 4 plays ive heard today. As someone else said on these forums today Tempah never tries to be commercial he does his own creative thing and makes it contemporary and popular!!!!

I'm not so sure, straight to A-list is so rare, I can't imagine it will be. More likely straight to B. I haven't really clicked with the song yet, everyone seems to be raving about it, maybe it will grow on me the more I hear it...

I don't think R1 really do straight to A-List any more, but 'Trampoline' could very well be straight to B. Really hope it's a 4th #1 for Tinie, obsessed with it already.

That bodes the question which song last entered straight into the alist. The one that always sticks with me was Without me by Eminem in May 2002.

Yeah i remember that convo in here before but i think it was a post xmas addition and they wanted to play it alot quickly.

 

With the eminem example he just went straight in there because it was a big name return and on his merit as an artist!

Yeah, this is why it surprises me that the likes of Rihanna or Adele still don't go straight to A-list these days.

I know and with quicker releases I never understand why radio 1 don't just alist arctic monkeys straight away, we all know they will alist it anyway since its OA/OS why not just support it straight away & embrace changing times?!

Jay-Z, Calvin and Miley are all likely. I'd have said the same for FOB, N&TW and ID, but i'm not so certain on those

 

I think Brookes Brothers - 'Carry Me On', and Amplify Dot - 'I'm Good' could make the list this week, with possibly the Shy FX/Liam Bailey track climbing onto the C List

 

That Shy FX track is brillant!!

'Tennis Court' by Lorde seems to be getting a lot of plays recently so I think that could progress to the C List today.

I just hope the new Tensnake song is there somewhere great follow up to Higher ground.

 

Also Sara Cox has been playing the new DJ Fresh/Diplo track which is very different to his other stuff!

I hope DJ Fresh's new song makes it onto the playlist. It could potentially be the 2nd top 5 hit for the 'trap' genre (the first being Harlem Shake)

Yeah, they do seem to be playing that a lot for a song which is only on the INMWT list. I'd be happy for it to climb to the C-list, or even B-list!
