I hope JLS gets added. They have play-listed most (all?) of their singles and this is actually the only one I like (apart from You Make Me Wanna).

It would be really funny if they playlisted Dizzee and were planning to, all along.

Regarding the playlist, agree with most of those except I think it's a week to early for them to add the 9/12 ones yet. So Arctic Monkeys, Jessie J, Kings of Leon & London Grammar will probably all be added next week (although they could possibly add Arctics or KoL a week early like they sometimes do).

Doubt they'll add AlunaGeorge or MS MR this late.

It really is last chance saloon for McFly and JLS this week but can't see either of them getting added.

Otherwise I think:

Biffy Clyro - Sounds Like Balloons

Matrix & Futurebound feat. Max Marshall - Control

Chvrches - Lies

Jake Bugg - Slumville Sunrise

Dan Croll - Home

Dizzee Rascal feat. Teddy Sky - Love This Town (ordinary I think they would have probably added this but now who knows after his Twitter antics)

Pink - Are We All We Are (if she really is releasing a fifth single from this era, they might skip over this, a bit like 'I Don't Believe You')

Radio 1 have just anounced they won't be supporting Dizzee Rascals upcoming 3 rd single Love this Town

Rapper Dizzee Rascal criticises Radio 1 playlist

E-mail this to a friend [an error occurred while processing this directive] Dizzee Rascal has criticised Radio 1 over the way the station chooses what music to play, in a series of tweets.

The UK rapper says he is tired of trying to get his material on air without success.

Radio 1 is yet to playlist Dizzee Rascal's latest track, Love This Town, from his latest album The Fifth.

"Who ever does Radio 1 playlist... I'm tired of you... you better stop playing me. Make up your... minds!!!" he tweeted.

"I'm tired of putting up with... Radio 1! If anyone's got a problem let me know," he added in a series of comments (which Newsbeat has edited here due to language some people may find offensive).

The rapper also slammed Radio 1's Live Lounge, which usually involves an artist performing a cover version.

'Huge support'

"If I gotta keep fighting to get my [songs] played why bother doing someone else's song so you can sell it," he tweeted.

The Live Lounge has produced a number of successful spin-off albums.

Spokesperson for Radio 1

"Going against Radio 1 [isn't] smart but I'm tired holding it down," he added.

A spokesperson for Radio 1 said: "Radio 1 has given Dizzee huge support over the last decade, and whilst not every song can make the cut, we have playlisted three singles off his current album, so we were very disappointed and really surprised to read these comments."

Last year, Robbie Williams said he was "gutted" that his single Candy failed to make the Radio 1 playlist.

I think they might playlist Paramore's "Daydreaming". Well at least I hope so anyway. ^_^

Yeah, I imagine they'd support that. I couldn't see it on the release schedule though, when's it out?

No clue. But they playlisted "Ain't It Fun" even though it didn't have a release date, plus the video for "Daydreaming" was released yesterday.

I tweeted radio 1 earlier when they put up the new playlist and said 'No new Dizzee Rascal then ;)?

Predictions for this afternoon's playlist...

Arctic Monkeys - One For The Road (pretty much a certainty)

Crystal Fighters - Love Natural

Daughter - Amsterdam

Haim - Forever

Jessie J - Thunder (although I don't think this will end up being A-listed)

Kings Of Leon - Beautiful War

London Grammar - Nightcall

Lily Allen - Somewhere Only We Know / Hard Out Here (I'm guessing they'll initially add SOWK, possibly even straight to B-list, but I'm hoping for her to have two songs on the playlist, like they did with Gaga with Judas/The Edge Of Glory)

Its gonna be fun how radio 1 cope with Lily Allens new single if it goes to no1 next week - 2 Lily songs on the playlist? Thye dont like doing that lol!

No they don't but they might have no choice! I think that Gaga example was the last time they did it, can't think of anyone since then (not counting collabs of course).
Who was the last artist to have two songs on the Radio 1 playlist at the same time? Was it Pharrell Williams?

Two not as a featured artist was Lady Gaga with 'Judas' and 'The Edge of Glory'. Many have presumably made the feat if you include features.

If we're counting collaborations, then Justin Timberlake did it more recently than Pharrell - 'Holy Grail' and 'Take Back The Night' were both on the playlist together for the whole of August.

The ones in bold I'm certain they'll add this week, but i would like to see some of the others either this week or next:

Arctic Monkeys - One for the Road

Aluna George - Best Be Believing

Avicii - Hey Brother

Crystal Fighters - Love Natural

Ed Sheeran - I See Fire

Future feat. Miley Cyrus & Mr Hudson - Real and True

JLS - Billion Lights

John Newman - Losing Sleep

Katy Perry - Unconditionally

Lily Allen - Somewhere Only We Know

Lily Allen - Hard Out Here

Matrix & Futurebound feat. Max Marshall - Control

Rihanna - What Now

They need to drop:

Joel Compass - Run

Katy B - 5AM

Robin Thicke - Give It 2 U

Taylor Swift - The Last Time

Not sure about all of those. JLS have surely missed the boat now. Avicii, Katy Perry & John Newman will more likely be added next week or the week after. And I can't see them adding Ed Sheeran seen as it's not even a proper single! And as for What Now, hasn't that been and gone (and flopped) weeks ago?

Yes some of them i said next week or week after. John Newman possibly this week though. I'm holding out hope for last minute "JLS".

I still think they will add Ed Sheeran, as they did it with Coldplay's soundtrack song "Atlas"

No I think you are thinking of Rihanna's "Pour It Up" to which she released a video about a month ago to it. "What Now" is her next single according to various sources.

Yeah that's true about Atlas but I still think that was in some way an official single, whereas Ed Sheeran sort of tweeted that it's not a proper single... you never know though.

I don't know if 'What Now' had/has an official impact date but I'm sure she was promoting it a few weeks ago, she even performed it on Graham Norton didn't she? The releases from this era are so messed up anyway so who even knows what was or wasn't an official single
