Doubt they'd playlist Embrace or Beck these days. George Ezra and Foster The People will definitely make it on, depending on when their release dates are.

 

If they can randomly put Busta Rhymes on the A List, then it shouldn't be that out of the norm to see Embrace or Beck on there.

It's not completely impossible but I still think it's highly unlikely. Would love to be proved wrong on Embrace though!

Beck is straight onto the alist on 6 Music so they have taken it on, decent return! And Embrace are on radio 2!

I love 'Arabella', best track on the album. Hope its added to the playlist soon.

 

Paloma Faith should get radio 1 support - shes went down that route with production and features from Pharrell and co!

 

EDIT - Ooh Katy Perry is an obv one we missed out Dark Horse is top 20 already could be no1 soon. Is there any reason its so high btw? Ive maybe missed it on the itunes thread but there doesnt seem to be any particular reason to it??

It was performed at the Grammys. But it's been climbing loads recently anyway due to getting some Capital airplay.

Out of the above I'd say the ones to get an added early are Duke Dumont and Chase and Status. I'm going to stick my neck out and say Duke Dumont will get playlisted today! :P

I think January ft Jamie Woon will just be added by Disclosure. Paramore was alisted last time round so they might ignore the video release, plus its had contiunous 'old' plays throughout the yr.

I don't think Shakira will be removed today, seeing as the song has now recovered pretty well from the video effect. Would be a good idea to move it up actually IMO.

Yeah id say they will move it to the b list!

 

Few other possible additions after checking the 1 Xtra list -

I think Pharrell will be dropped today (at least a week overdue IMO) but Shakira/Rihanna should move up.

Oh right, I don't think Radio 1 would re-add a song just cos of a video release, it would have to be being officially re-released (i.e. by the label) for it to be re-added.

I thought they were re-releasing it. :huh: The band are tweeting that the video for the new Single 'Ain't It Fun' is out now. I don't know! It would be nice if they did re-playlist it and AIF could chart properly, but if they don't it's not the end of the world I guess.

Surely it's time to add Drunk In Love? It's selling really well and is still in the top ten on iTunes. XO has done nowhere near as well, despite being on their A-List.
