March 20, 201312 yr With Justin's increase to 71%, how much could he have sold today? Up from 9k to 10-11k? But then that would be on par with what the girls have probably sold today, right?
March 20, 201312 yr Author With Justin's increase to 71%, how much could he have sold today? Up from 9k to 10-11k? But then that would be on par with what the girls have probably sold today, right? No, The girls are still #01 on iTunes. They are still outselling Justin Timberlake. If Justin was selling more than them he would be #01 on iTunes, the saturdays just aren't selling as much as they were two days ago.
March 20, 201312 yr What I'm trying to say is if Justin did 9k yesterday at 55% thereabouts, now he's up 65%-70%, won't his sales rise from that 9k to at least 10k today? I doubt The Sats would have done another 13k day today so wouldn't they have have dipped to about 12k? But like you say he's not outselling them which I know and if he did 10k and The Sats 12k today isn't that a little close for a 30% lead? I'm confusing myself from worry and pessimism.
March 20, 201312 yr If The Saturdays sold 12K today then Justin would've sold around 8.2K considering he sold around 68-70% of what they sold today.

If they do drop next week, which I doubt it wont be lower than #02, it's the following week what i'm most worried about with a lot of new entries.
March 21, 201312 yr Author In Dark Red now. 01. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us 100% 02. Justin Timberlake - Mirrors 74.5%
March 21, 201312 yr Even if Justin catches The Saturdays on itunes either tomorrow or Friday, he will need to hope they then plummet down Itunes and almost stop selling to catch them on the official chart.
March 21, 201312 yr Hopefully they're able to maintain some sort of lead over Justin to make sure 100K is scanned!
March 21, 201312 yr The fact that he's increasing isn't worrying, it's the fact that the girls are in red that is worrying. He can climb as much as he wants to, but the girls need to stay green. It has been red for a couple of updates now. http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/482677red.png
March 21, 201312 yr I'm actually surprised they've managed to keep the lead at a good, safe length for as long as they have! I genuinely thought they'd be at about 20% ahead by now! They had to go dark red, eventually. Justin has "the weekend effect" on his side now, however 'What About Us' is definitely more "club friendly" than 'Mirrors' is, so maybe he won't close in as fast as we'd expect? Either way, I think it's safe to say they have the official number 1 now. So we can celebrate! The only thing I can think of that would cost them the number 1 now, is if they get deleted and then don't get re-added until Saturday night/Sunday. But this rarely ever happens. So we don't need to panic.
March 21, 201312 yr Brazilian Certification: Music Downloads Gold: 50,000 Platinum: 100,000 Diamond: 500,000 Higher than in Australia, eventhough the ARIA really should reboot their system considering anyone can go atleast Gold. That was back in 2005 I think... Now for brazilians are Gold: 40,000 Platinum: 80,000 Diamond: 300,000 (not quite sure about this) and for records internationals like english, spanish, frenche and so Gold: 20,000 Platinum: 40,000 Diamond: 160,000 Also in Brazil what sells the most are CD with music live, or DVD with shows... sales for studio albums are quite low ;)
March 21, 201312 yr The keypoint for Justin's stability is the promotion that are giving him the video and the album release. I actually think What About Us will have some sort of positive weekend effect. And of course, the airplay is growing spectacularly day by day.
March 21, 201312 yr Eeek I hope they can hang on for Alan Carr. He climbed what, 10% (?) yesterday (probably due to the video) so if he managed another 10% today would put him on 84% going into tomorrow so hopefully the girls can hang on to hopefully get some sort of boost from Alan Carr. I guess we shouldn't get too excited at the prospect of them doing 100k+ now. EDIT: He's on 75% now going off Kworb. Hmph. He'll probably catch them later today/tomorrow if he carries on gaining fairly quickly like this all day. I want them to stay top for - hopefully - a boost from Alan Carr tomorrow night leading into Saturday! Please let it happen. :( Edited March 21, 201312 yr by Encore

March 21, 201312 yr I wouldn't worry too much the Sats came in with 50k earlier in the week, I should imagine they around 9k to 11k yesterday more the same for today, plus I can't see Justin passing 80k, he only did 69.2k last week, with the added video I can't see the track doing any damage to the Sats track. Saturdays have the #1 in the bag, its all about the sales now. As Jonjo said earlier, the only worry is getting their track deleted from iTunes :P
March 21, 201312 yr hope we get some sales today.. im gonna tweet the OCC asking for sats sales this weekend! hope loose women has an effect - things have slowed down a lot today
March 21, 201312 yr I think it's a definite no no that they'll make a 2nd week at the top, but hopefully grab some longevity and consistent sales and don't fall to much. I think they'll manage to hold on until tonight/early hours of tomorrow on iTunes but even if they slide to #2 they'll still sell and hopefully cross 100k if JT's been doing 8-9k since Sunday.
