March 24, 201312 yr I always fail to understand how Up is so unpopular among Saturdays fans. It is their most well-regarded song in the wider world, probably their signature song, certainly the song that MADE them into who they are today rather than a one-notevenahit-wonder and the only time they've done anything like a girlband classic. As much as I love the rest of their material, it's all good pop songs and not something that'll be remembered way down the line, while Up will be up there with Girls Aloud and Sugababes classics. And more important than any of that, it's a fantastic catchy song with a great beat and some memorable lyrics. And I don't notice any real difference between the single and album versions so I'm not sure what's going on there. However, if you don't like it then hey, whatever. I'm not trying to change that. I'm just expressing my DISBELIEF that it is getting such low scores here.
March 24, 201312 yr I don't hate 'Up'. Far from it. I just found it more overrated than others like to make it out to be (although I don't think I can say it's overrated now haha). But my vote was purely for the album version as it's demo, heaven. It feels unfinished and I can see why they reworked it for the single mix.

April 22, 201312 yr In regards to Up, I too don't hate it, I love all Sats songs, however for me, it was If This Is Love that caused me to fall in love with them, I was there from the beginning, I happened to be listening to the radio when it premiered, Up was just a bonus and made me more interested, then I discovered the flips and I was obsessed since then and this sounds awful, but I feel like I love their songs by default, I'm not crazy about all of them after the first listen, I only loved If This Is Love, Up, Work, Missing You and Higher on first listen, the others for me were growers.
