March 29, 201312 yr Would be great to see 'Lego House' and 'Wings' enter the Hot 100 in the next week or two. I wonder if James Arthur will do anything in America judging from how well 'Impossible' has done in so many other countries.
March 29, 201312 yr I'm more interested in seeing Cher get her third top 100, I'd hate to see 'With Ur Love' just miss out. Delighted to see 'Clarity' impact, I never thought Zedd would get close to the Hot 100 :o

Delighted to see 'Clarity' impact, I never thought Zedd would get close to the Hot 100 :o For a second I thought you were talking about THE QUEEN but apparently there are other Chers around.
March 29, 201312 yr For a second I thought you were talking about THE QUEEN but apparently there are other Chers around. I don't know who he's talking about either. Cher has had a LOT more than three Billboard hits :kink:
March 29, 201312 yr I Got You Babe, If I Could Turn Back Time, Believe.. hopefully With Ur Love will reach Hot 100 after all these years.
March 30, 201312 yr Justin, Pink, Britney and Christina all in the Top 20 - feels like it's 2003 Musically, that top 10 could've been a top 10 from 2003. Just add some rapping on Harlem Shake, and perhaps take out the dubstep-ish stuff from I Knew You Were Trouble.
March 30, 201312 yr According to Billboard, this is the biggest gap between runs at #1 on the Hot 100 ever (bar a song that got to #1 then returned to #1 on a re-release a couple of years later) :o If it weren't for that rule change this would be Macklemore's tenth week at #1. Rather incredible. Yay foir 'Suit & Tie' re-peaking. Hope it can still go higher (although 'Mirrors' needs to take off as well). What's with Muse's 'Madness' suddenly gaining again now? Finally giving them a second top 50 hit this week.
March 30, 201312 yr I read Madness was boosted by use on tv.. And its airplay is now also better than ever. Mirrors is doing amazingly badly in digital sales. Streaming is the only reason why it's #13 this week. EDIT: Mirrors is #10 in sales at the moment so it'll probably enter top 10 on Hot 100 next week Edited March 30, 201312 yr by SKOB
You're sooo right, that silly rule change which led to this anomaly where the biggest selling, most airplayed, most streamed song (Thrift shop) gets stuck at number 2 behind a song only because of some school made videos using a 30 second sample of Harlem shake which helped it get to number 1... this is indeed the unfairest and silliest chart component in history of music ....
March 30, 201312 yr As much as I love Harlem Shake I don't think its fair that the 30 second virals count towards the chart. Great to see Thrift Shop back ontop as clearly its more popular than Harlem Shake.
March 30, 201312 yr Can we have a new poll in the Int'l Charts Forum this week predicting how many more weeks people will complain about Billboard's latest Hot 100 rule/Harlem Shake-gate 2013?? My bet is on 10 weeks MINIMUM.
March 30, 201312 yr They'll complain forever because every time Billboard changes the rules, there are people who think going forward is so wrong.
March 30, 201312 yr Mirrors is doing amazingly badly in digital sales. Streaming is the only reason why it's #13 this week. Mirrors (and Suit & Tie) lost a lot of sales due to the "complete my album" feature, which is why they're lower than expected in the digital chart hits week. Hopefully next week it'll return back to normal.
