Posted April 5, 201312 yr Massive in Europe and also climbing the US chart, this synthpop single from the Swedish duo. Will it be big in the UK? Do you love it? UxxajLWwzqY
April 5, 201312 yr I do, although June is quite far away to be predicting this. I'm optimistic of a #1 though.
April 5, 201312 yr If radio gets behind it, I can see it going top 3 for definite, probably even #1. If radio doesn't get behind it, I think it could either surprisingly go top 20 at #13 or something or it'll miss completely. Hard to tell. Hopefully the US success helps it smash over here. It sounds like a classic waiting to happen.
April 5, 201312 yr They song is okay-ish imo. I think it'll go top 40 a least even without any promotion in the UK just because this song is really big on the Internet. If it gets good promotion beforehand, then I think it'll be really big, just like everywhere else. It sounds like something ready-made to be used in an advert too, given that the hook is "I love it".
April 5, 201312 yr Bet you'd like it if it featured 2 Chainz :kink: Although his version of Rattle is awful. Anyway, I love it :kink: Although I don't know why they're keeping us waiting for the release, I guess they're going for a summer hit but it's made all the impact it's going to in Europe last autumn.
April 5, 201312 yr My guess is they're trying to push it in June with the "hit in the US" tag attached to it, I remember Radio 1 wouldn't playlist it for some reason when they tried with it a few weeks ago so maybe they will then?
April 5, 201312 yr If it gets the airplay and the support then I think it can definitely go top 3! Unfortunately I have a feeling it just won't get the support like it didn't for its original release date and it will get between #21-#40! I hope it does get the support though, fantastic song!
April 5, 201312 yr I don't know why on earth they're holding back on releasing it. They're running the risk of it being released after its peak in popularity, a la 'Loca People'.
April 5, 201312 yr This is a definite top 3 hit (even #1 though may be that is wishful thinking) but only if it gets promo/airplay beforehand. I still don't get why Radio 1 ignored it first time round (surely they could see the potential?). I am just hopeful that its success in the US will help it. I will be awaiting Radio 1's playlist at the end of April/early May to see if it gets playlisted. Of course it could just pick up pace once its released anyway. This and Passenger are so obvious big hits I do hope they take off..
May 15, 201312 yr It sounds like something ready-made to be used in an advert too, given that the hook is "I love it". It looks like this prediction has become a reality
May 15, 201312 yr From the other thread: If "I Love It" goes to #1, surely it will break the record for time inbetween a song premiering and a song going to #1 :o '(Is This The Way To) Amarillo'? :P
May 15, 201312 yr From the other thread: '(Is This The Way To) Amarillo'? :P Should I rephrase that, then :P If "I Love It" goes to #1, surely it will break the record for time inbetween a song premiering and a song entering the chart, and peaking at #1 in its chart run without being re-released or re-entering the chart due to an advert/TV promo.
May 15, 201312 yr Predicted number 1, but 30th June? Really? Why on earth so late? (Maybe they knew about the release of Daft Punk's new material :heehee:)
May 15, 201312 yr Bet you'd like it if it featured 2 Chainz :kink: Although his version of Rattle is awful. I don't think 2 Chainz would rap on a song like this! Maybe Pitbull would. And now to mention Rattle, that probably had a longer time between premiering and getting to #1 than I Love It would do if it gets there. Edited May 15, 201312 yr by Eric_Blob
