Just because we weren't alive at the time, it doesn't mean we can't understand the devastation - the whole point is that it's still there for all to see even now. Although she did at least stop short of what's happening to the NHS now, so I can understand the last part of your argument.

I'll stop now. The 1975 are proving very frustrating, can never put on a long enough charge to make the top 10.

"Radioactive" #12 combined.

I think it's disgusting. I was born in 91 so after she was in office but it seems like most of the people applauding this song are people my age or younger who know nothing of what actually happened. Her life should be celebrated not her death, the first female prime minister and she did a lot of great for this country as well as some bad but doesn't every person in charge. Heck I'd rather her leadership than that of what we have now. This all coming from a labour supporter.

It's not surprising imo, since most young people have progressive, left wing, liberal, etc. views politically. Same reason why Barack Obama is much more popular with young people than Mitt Romney and George Bush, even though they don't live in the US and haven't experienced being under Republican rule.

Very interesting what you write there. In Hungary most young people are extreme right wing / right wing or liberal. Very few left wing. But this is of course eastern Europe... no comment...

Sorry very off topic...

YAY for I Need Your Love. Any date for the video release?

The 1975 have now moved on to the campaign for their next song, a re-release of "The City", so I expect Chocolate will start dropping.

 227. Diana Vickers - Cinderella (Pre-order)

I'll try and stop doing as many updates now, but this is all just so exciting!

EDIT: Now #226 :D

Edited by Ryan.

That's just absolutely hilarious. The shade of it all.

I mean I could not help but immediately sing that song and excusing myself afterwards after I heard the news but the fact this is charting on iTunes... that is gold. The Brits can be so blunt when they want to be

If Ding Dong gets to #1, it must be the shortest track to get a #1

I sincerely hope it doesn't tbh. What an awful message it sends to the rest of the world.

How awesome would it be if Diana actually got a hit out of this song after everything

Its gonna be so awkward for Jameela having to explain why its back in the charts. Ha.

The best thing to do imo is just play the song and don't explain why its in the charts. If they explain why it's there, there's the likelihood they might offend people, plus I imagine there's probably some laws about BBC having to be politically neutral which they would risk breaking, so the safest thing to do is not say anything.
