I love this song so much, possibly my favourite from them so far. The video is quite nice too. :)

However, with the solo shots in the latter part of the video, it feels as though they came from a second video that was filmed.

I don't like them, but I have to say this is so excellent! :o Definitely their best yet.

 

So catchy and infectious after one listen. I wonder if this could against all odds turn it around for them?

Wow, was hoping the girls would pull something out of the bag to save this campaign, and actually 'Slip' is just what they needed. It is great, fun and catchy, possibly one of my favourite things they have done so far, but more importantly it sounds like a HIT.

It is funny that you think its awful because I was just thinking it sounded reasonably similar to the 'I Decided' and 'Sandcastle Disco' vibe from Solange.

But Solange managed to get the sound right, without it managing to come off as too cheesy or too try-hard, imo. I do like 'Slip', but I know it'll only last for a couple of listens before it gets irritating. It'll be another top 10 single for them though, but it'll fall out the charts pretty quickly I think. 5 weeks top 40, maybe?

Yes that's what I thought too, but this 'Slip' song isn't as awful as I first mentioned. It's catchy.

I can't get enough of this, I never thought I'd like a song of theirs so much. :wub:

Okay I take back what I said, this is amazing.

Here they are performing Slip on the Voice in Ireland

really good performance I hope they perform on the UK Voice when it gets to the live shows .

Unforunately they only got on the Irish version because it will accept basically anyone who's heard of over here, but it was an excellent performance! I happened to be watching the show (I don't normally watch anything Irish) and they were pretty brilliant, the song is fantastic.

The song has grown on me a lot, although I'm not convinced there's enough interest in them to have a successful album campaign.

Listening to 'Slip' right now, it sounds absolutely fantastic. So much better than 'Waterfalls', and more catchy to my ears than 'Black Heart', I adore it on first listen and hope it's a hit. I reckon it COULD grow to be my favourite of theirs, though I do love 'Love Me'!

I just gave this song its own topic to bring the Stooshe threads in line with pop forum thread splitting rules!

I really want to hate Stooshe and their songs, but I just CAN'T. Urgh.

I never knew this but this has apparentley been added and playlisted by Capital :o I'm pleased about this even if radio 1 does not playlist in the next few weeks it should still well. I think radio 1 might still playlist it though as they have been playing it on Radio 1 extra.
