My take on this is that if they were added, they were needed. Every artist has their own vision after all.

I'm quite annoyed that this whole OMG THIS SONG LASTS LONGER THAN 4 MINUTES I HATE IT OMG AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME 4 DAT thing. Why EXACTLY are shorter songs better than longer ones?! (Not directed at you in particular Jonjojojojojojnojjoj)

I don't think anybody actually said that shorter songs are better than longer ones..

If 'Mirrors', for example, had an extra verse and choruses then I wouldn't have a problem with it being 8 minutes.

My main gripe with it is that it more often than not adds nothing to the song and ends up going off on a tangent, with the last 3 minutes sounding nothing like the song you'd spent the last 4/5 minutes enjoying.

Especially with the FutureSexLoveSounds album.. To me, those outros were extremely annoying!

Literally 3 minutes of "I think that she knows knows knows.. I think that she knows knows knows.." or "What goes around goes around goes around goes around.."

I love the outros, definitely one of my favourite things about Justin's albums and add to the artistic element of the music (possibly classed as pretentiousness but I care not!) - I do detest the intro to Suit & Tie though...
I hated the outros to begin with, but I love them now  I think that's what makes FSLS such a great album for me, it's two songs in one basically.

I don't have anything against long songs. It's just songs like this, that have extended outros despite only saying a couple of lines over and over again. It just gets repetitive and boring, especially when it lasts for an extra 2-3 mins just repeating itself. I don't mind interludes or outros or whatever, but I just don't see why they have to be tacked on to the end of a song and not put individually (but in fairness I think that's just down to me being lazy)

Speaking of which, I love the radio edit, but I found myself going back to the main version earlier on today!

Some outros are good. Róisín Murphy's 'Overpowered' should've been 2 or 3 minutes longer with just those lush synths at the end.

I don't like most of Justin's outros though. They kind of annoyed me on FS/LS too. The 'My Love' and 'Set the Mood' preludes were very annoying.

Mirrors >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Suit & Tie

Yes at "Mirrors", after being disappointed by S&T (having said that it is growing on me now) - Justin is BACK

5:25 would've been a nice place to end but the outro isn't too bad.

"The show will be on the same night as the BRIT Awards, to be held at London's O2 Arena, where JT will perform his new track 'Mirrors' before making his way across town to play to the Forum."

This bit of news also refers to his post-BRIT gig at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town which I am SO attending.

But I'm glad he's singing "Mirrors" at the BRITs, that track must go Top10!

'Mirrors' is OKAY, at best.

But seriously what a shit comeback! Omfg. Seriously, maybe he should go back to being butt hurt over Britney, at least then we got 'Cry Me A River'. http://www.breatheheavy.com/exhale/public/style_emoticons/default/dealwitit.gif

I wish the song was as hot as him in the video!

Mirrors is an outstanding piece of music. I was a bit dissapointed after Suit & Tie, but this is magical.

Don't know why but I'm in love with the little falsetto bit at the end. I love his tone.

Copying Jeremy Renner's current hairstyle I see :kink:
