Is it right of passage that every SyCo show act who releases an album of covers must cover "Fix You"?!

 

I imagine it will all be awful. I'll give the Nicole duet a listen (is that what they performed on The X Factor final?), but other than that, it'll be a wailing mess of an album.

 

I think Jahmene is with Sony Music, not with Syco. But I agree, Fix You was covered to death by X Factor contestants :D

Not that I expected to like any of this anyway, at least Marcus had a few (actually quite good!!) original songs amongst questionable covers.

Marcus is in no way better than Jahmene. Jahmene wouldn't have the ability to do something as soul-destroying as Seven Nation Army.

I just listened to a live performance of it on YouTube. It's gospel (eek! love gospel choirs :kink:), but it doesn't have a spot on the original. :no:

Oh dear. At least Marcus Collins kept the cover/original material ratio to a minimum on his album. Suddenly I'm not so excited by this album anymore...

At least he should make 'Next To Me' more tolerable! It really annoys me that 'Next To Me' underperformed in the charts and sold next to nothing.
