Pre-order Update

Overall chart

 363. Demi Lovato - Heart Attack

 760. Stooshe - Slip

Pop chart

 744. Tich - Dumb

 966. Avril Lavigne - Here's To Never Growing Up

Weekend effect must be having an effect with the big drop for Avril and exits for Diana and Selena!

Is there much point in this update every day, Avril must have only sold about 5 copies to get to #966!

Maybe not so much for the pop chart bit, but there's no harm in an update for Demi and Stooshe seeing as they are released in a couple of weeks and will both be top 10 contenders!

I agree, there's not much point in Pop updates!

20. Loveable Rogues - What A Night! (The drop next week is going to be comical)

Pffft, who cares about Misha. Next week is all about SWISS LIPS  (unfortunately, i think R1 not playlisting 'U Got the Power' has robbed it's chance of being a top 40 hit :()

I'm sure it will manage around top 20, I've heard it on Capital & The Hits quite a lot. You are probably right in that radio 1 snubbing will affect it though (Very surprising, don't they normally get behind this sort of thing?!)

I would like it to be a success, although it still feels a bit weak compared to the brilliant Danz.

Not really a fan of the new Swiss Lips tune (or them in general really..)

Great to see AlunaGeorge in the Top 15, and Daft Punk comfortably at number 1.

35. The Goo Goo Dolls- Iris Sung on Britain's Got Talent at the end of the show. That high already.

Good! I really don't like this song and would gladly see it tumble down the chart.

 17 The Goo Goo Dolls- Iris Definitely looking like a return to the Top40 next Sunday if it maintains its position.

The Pensmith DEAD.

The Pensmith was last seen an hour ago. Let's show some respect to him during this hard time.

I wish Amelia Lily and The Loveable Rogues would switch places in this week's chart. :(

(That would most likely land Amelia with a second #11, but alas)

 14 The Goo Goo Dolls- Iris Could this climb up into the Top10? Possibly? It was Frankie Cocozza's performance which got this to #1 on iTunes in 2011 wasn't it?

I love Iris, it's such a brilliant song.

It got performed twice in the same week - Frankie was one, yes. Can't remember the other act but it was during Boot Camp.

I was expecting this would do well on iTunes again, a Top 40 return would be lovely.

"Iris" and "Don't Stop Believin'" both in the Top 40 :puke2: I like "Iris" but cannot stand that "Don't Stop Believin'" anymore. Why is it always the same old songs re-entering the charts again and again

 10. Iris - The Goo Goo Dolls

Second time this has re-entered the iTunes top 10 due to talent shows. You'd have thought the effect would be sufficiently burnt out by the first time it happened. (Then again that never applies to anything else regarding talent shows boosting songs :P Stay tuned for 'Make You Feel My Love' going to #1).

I don't know. It seems they try and choose a wide variety of songs (both old songs and current hits, and a mixture of genres). I think the idea is they discount a wide enough selection of songs that as many people as possible will see something in the discount section that they want to get.
