Go on Nicky! I really hope it isn't too late for this to be a top 40 hit come Sunday! (Not seen mids yet) I hope it can stick around for a bit longer than the one week though.

Now that it's got Radio 1 support, all other commercial stations are bound to jump on the bandwagon. It probably will end up being one of the most played songs of the year on UK radio (it's also MoR enough to appeal to an older audience) so I'm actually starting to agree with GD's prediction that Passenger might well end up climbing to no. 1 after all.

 

Bought the track on iTunes back in January and still not bored of the track, although granted I don't have a habit of playing the same 5 songs on a loop every 30 minutes (unlike commercial radio - looking at you Capital FM). :D

Maybe Passenger actually is this year's Gotye afterall?

It will, and it will be no surprise that i saw him when he was on tour with Ed. It is a great song though, deserves some recognition.

 

Anyone know why its travelled up the itunes chart so fast? I know Hearts playing it and now from Monday it will be on radio 1 too - no1 anyone??

Jar of Hearts got in the chart because of Heart FM as well. It was on Glee before that, but it was when Heart FM started playing it that it started charting.

Must have a big influence. I cant see the video channels on mtv playing it much before it charts - maybe just on MTV Rocks/MTV

I'm going to make a really bold prediction and predict that Passenger will probably be the Year-End #1.

Corr, I don't look at iTunes/Buzzjack for a day and so much has happened. "Can't Hold Us" up to #3, "Let Her Go" in the T10 and "Play Hard" now inside the T40. Heard the latter out last night, sounded incredible. Bought it back in 2012 when Guetta re-released the album; here's hoping it can re-peak.
