On the Stereophonics it must be due to the radio 2 plays which is were much of their fan base must be which translates into good album sales due to the depressed sales at the moment, great to see by the way

Lovely to see 'Let Her Go' so high on limited airplay (at the moment). I knew it'd be huge!

I think she probably will, but no higher than #38. There are several second versions above her too.

Do people actually think Amelia is going to make top 40 on Sunday?!

I think she just might scrape it. She was #32 as of Wednesday's midweek, so she already has a head start over some other songs which have only just started climbing above her. Plus P!nk, Macklemore, will.i.am all have two versions of their songs above her. I think she'd be unlucky to drop over 8 places from the midweeks, unless literally no one buys it today and she plummets to the bottom of the itunes chart. After listening to it a few times I don't think it's as bad as people make out, generic yes, but better than 'Shut Up' imo.

Is Passenger slowing down, or is it just there's a big gap between them and Will.I.Am?
The "wannabe Adele" claims are just as tedious and annoying as the "wannabe GaGa" claims a few years ago.

Adele comes back and blows everyone out the water with her ballads, selling enormous amounts ... and suddenly, a lot of artists are singing ballads when some of them never really had before.

And GaGa did kick start the dance movement and popularise 'crazy' outfits. Her mark on music was undeniable.

What we see is that which is especially popular can have a profound influence on what others then release.

I mean I'm not in denial about 2012, where a lot of songs seemed to be about a magical place called 'The Cluuurb', but then it was balanced by some absolutely brilliant tracks.

I'm not sure how I feel about Alice Deejay's song being top 10, but it kicked that song out! :D

Edited by Michael.

Some of P!nk's best known songs (Who Knew, Perfect, Glitter In The Air, My Vietman, Family Portrait) are ballads.

29. Like Home (Radio Edit) - Nicky Romero & Nervo

32. Dead and Gone (feat. Justin Timberlake) - T.I.
