Indeed they are just following the impact date I think conservative as ever radio 1

Absolutely, No idea why Daft-Punk wasn't straight onto the A-List either. It's two DJs record of the week, it's doing brilliantly on the chart, they're already playing it loads... What this probably means is they'll still be playing it long after the public has got bored of it.

Yeah but it's actually very rare for a song to go straight to A-list. It hasn't happened since Skrillex last January.

I'm sorry but "Tonight i'm getting over you" has one of the best pop melodies in the last years!! Carly deserves to be Top 10 with this song more than anyone right now.

I can think of about 100 other songs more deserving of a Top 10 place :D

So it doesn't need to go on the A-List if it is getting this much exposure already, does it?

Don't forget this is your opinion, allow other members to have different opinion if they don't like a song :D

There's no advantage to immediate A-list play for Daft Punk. It's better for the artists to have their single have a long chart trajectory than blow its load in a month. The B-A progression is already overly swift.

I know, Biblical is now the longest runner at 9 weeks, though it feels like it's been on forever! Though it seems like it's on some special super-AAA list cos they seem to play it EVERY time I put the radio on

Is that a Duracell sponsored playlist?

Radio 1 always do this with Biffy Clyro songs even though they dont do well in the chart.

 at all those rises and for these additions:

Alt-J - Breezeblocks

Bastille - Laura Palmer

Disclosure (ft. Eliza Doolittle) - You & Me

Fall Out Boy - The Phoenix

Naughty Boy (ft. Sam Smith) - La La La

However, it's annoying that they haven't playlisted Stooshe meaning that their career could be over just because of the label's decision to release 'Waterfalls'. :(

Could you tell some of them?

Good to see How Ya Doin' is straight to A-List :)

Unlike CYL where that spent two weeks on B before going up to A!

I know but for me the point is that they need to adapt better to the different release strategies of 2013 by moving songs immediately to high spins status if they are released at an early stage. Good to see they have already playlisted Disclosures new one before its released on monday!

I don't get why Carly never released the original E.P. version of Curiosity? That was a great song but the new remix on the album sucks
