First thing I noticed is that they are claiming today is her 44th birthday. Still, I'm sure Kylie doesn't mind pretending to be a year younger. :D

Skirt is amazing :heart: that beat is mindblowing.

I've just listened to 'Skirt', great meaty dance track although I'm sure that's not the original version of it. It's going straight on my playlist for when I go to Ibiza next month though! :D

I've given 'Skirt' several more listens. Still don't it is very likely to be the final version, but it's really grown on me, especially everything after about 1:15. I can tell a final version is going to fit in perfectly with the "tread-mill" theme of this album and that I'll end up loving it! :heart: Can hear a few 'Timebomb' influences.

I think you might be right. On Kylie's official site, there's a 'Happy Birthday Kylie' post which says at Pacha Ibiza, "Chris Lake played the club mix of Kylie’s new track".

Rita Ora is the worst thing to happen to music in a LONG time. I would be absolutely furious if Kylie involved herself with that.

All of the songs she's put her name to are absolute torture with the possible exception of 'Hot Right Now' which isn't even her song.

I dont hate Rita Ora but she certainly would not be on the list of people who i would like Kylie to duet with.

The chorus to this is actually so anthemic, it didn't hit me immediately but it's glorious.

 

Also do the synths remind anyone else of 'Right Now' by Rihanna? Not that it's a detriment to this song though.

I liked R.I.P for a while, before it got awfully boring. The rest of her album is just a load of trash (especially Facemelt). And when she performed on The X Factor last year, she was absolutely horrendous. Hope Kylie doesn't duet with her. </3

Didn't actually expect much from Skirt but it's got a great, fairly subtle but incredibly melodic chorus. And the rest of the song has loads of different stuff going on too. Not too drastic a change in direction, it's like an updated version production wise of something that might have featured on Body Language.

Just came across Skirt, I think its a grower, need to listen to it a few times though
