Well same goes for Jark then....

Besides that he doesn't do everything wrong that can be done wrong, like you do

Because that's clearly so relevant to this thread.

Obviously I'm happy for Frankie, why wouldn't I be happy for someone having a baby.

I'm done with this argument tbh

You came here to tell us we're wrong, I didn't accept that, story over

Exactly. They've lasted TWO YEARS with pregnant members, nothing will change now.

Although technically none of us knew Una was pregnant when 'All Fired Up' came out...looking back on the performances from that era and even the video she did an excellent job of hiding it. You gotta hand it to their stylists.

Anyone who thinks a woman should be criticised for having a baby that might disrupt a single campaign IS wrong. I'm with Griff on this. And he didn't "tell you you were wrong" anyway, he just stated what is quite obvious to anyone who has a little bit of perspective.

You took it a bit too far there.

I really don't think I did, sorry. It just looks to me like a bunch of teenagers throwing a strop because they might have to wait a bit later for new music. Imagine being told you by your boss at work you shouldn't be thinking about having a baby because it might affect your commitment to the company. You'd be fuming. That's really what the complainers are saying here.

Except we're not in a strop. We couldn't be happier for Frankie; I have no idea what you think we're all against a "woman" having a child. It's just it may affect future endeavours of the group since they should be capitallising on their current success. Sure they probably will regardless of her situation but that doesn't mean we're not going to worry for what would otherwise be a missed opportunity.

And I'm sorry but the way you choose to type comes off as "stroppy".

Edit: this probably makes no sense, I blame apples keypad.

Omg at your avatars Regina  I dont agree it disagree with anyone in here. I'm happy that Frankie is having a child. I am slightly disappointed though because there is a slight chance that they could call it a day. Anyone who says there isn't a little chance is obviously oblivious. I honestly couldn't be happier for them though. In ten or so years, we'll have a Saturdays juniors group :P
It's very likely that they'll continue on as a group, but that isn't what I'm worried about. I'm also not worried about the quality of their performances because if they've done fine without Rochelle they'll do fine without Frankie. I just know that during times like these they tend to half-ass everything. As a fan it's frustrating because they are finally front runners with the success of WAU and there's a good chance the rest of this campaign will be shot.

Maybe the pregnancy is a good thing?

Una pregnant: 'All Fired Up' became doubled their previous biggest opening sales week (or near enough).

Rochelle pregnant: 'What About Us' got them their first 100k+ opening sales week!

Maybe with Frankie being pregnant, they'll... go to number 1 for 2+ weeks in the UK and finally get a top 40 US hit with 'Gentleman'?

:kink:

Oh Jark, I highlighted the part, it was sarcasm!

im sure frankie will be thrilled to read all of your, 'teamsats', lovely well wishes and congratulations

yes, i think the bad is nearing the end of its course, but i AM thrilled for Frankie. after almost 6 years, the band is probably coming to a close, but we know they love what they do and work hard, so i could see the approach being this album, then a Greatest Hits and final single (after Frankie gives birth) and then a 'break' by which time Aoife Bell will be almost 3, Mini-Marvelle will be 18 months and Mini-Wankie will be 6 months.

then who knows what the future will hold..

Ideally they will manage another 2 hits of the new album and the album performs respectively and it would be a great time to announce a split then the enivitable greatest hits as it does look like the end is coming. The number 1 hit was a big thing for them and there is a sense they have achieved what they wanted to. While these days greatest hits dont do that well i think the Saturdays could do well, they are not and never were strong album sellers but had decent single sales so a greatest hits could be the album to do well for them if they gave it some promotion.

I don't think you should call it Wankie though :P

I can't see them splitting up because of a baby, The group can tour without Frankie and do their shows etc... I think to keep their music going throughout another pregnancy they should maybe do a Spice Girls 'Viva Forever' or N Dubz 'We Dance On' styled video for a change
I know this is off topic but 'Wankie' isn't a good ship name. It just sounds a bit dodgy!
