Posted August 22, 200619 yr Beyonce and Jay-Z’s latest effort Déjà Vu looks set to challenge Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie this weekend, after it was released on physical format yesterday. The track, which debuted last Sunday as download-only at 21, is already on course to topple Hips Don’t Lie, which has been on the UK chart for 11 weeks. Other new entries expected to make their mark on the singles rundown this Sunday include Morrissey’s In The Future When All’s Well (Attack/Sanctuary), sales of which are strong after the singer’s performance at V last weekend, and Thom Yorke’s Harrowdown Hill (XL). Justin Timberlake’s Sexyback looks poised to hit the Top 10 by next week, since download-only sales have already this week propelled him into the Top 20. Elsewhere, Hope of the States, Rolling Stones and Taking Back Sunday are likely to enter the Top 40. On the albums chart, the Top 10 is unlikely to change a great deal this weekend with Christina Aguilera maintaining the top slot with Back To Basics (RCA), closely followed by Snow Patrol’s Fiction album Eyes Open. New entries vying for position on the chart this weekend include Outkast’s Idlewild (LaFace/Interscope), Slayer’s Christ Illusion (American Recordings), which coincides with a live show at Reading this weekend, and Young Knives’ Voices Of Animals And Men (Transgressive). August 22, 200619 yr I think Beyonce will start of the week at about 3 but by the end of the week she'll be having Deja Vu with her 2nd Uk #1 with Jay Z! Todays Report 1. Shakira 2. Chamillionaire 3. Beyonce 4. Cassie 5. Arctic's End of the Week 1. Beyonce 2. Shakira 3. Chamillionaire 4. Arctics 5. Cascada

Cascada There's no way the Arctics will stay in the top 5 - they usually drop like a rock after the first/second week. So do most indie acts, with Snow Patrol and the Kooks being the main exceptions.
August 22, 200619 yr I think they will keep stable to be hoinest, I mean IBTYLGOTD was #1 for 2 weeks meaning there sales must have been steadyish as they werent that high to get to #1... I reckon theuy will be around the 5mark anyway

I reckon theuy will be around the 5mark anyway IBTYLGOTD was only No.1 for one week, in October last year, but it did stick around abit
August 22, 200619 yr OH I apologize I thought it was there for two... Well you never know the prediction might be right!
August 22, 200619 yr Yeah, but you have to remember IBYLGOTD was their debut single, so it would hang around for a bit as it would have more casul buyers than their 3rd single (which loads of people think is from this album anyway, for some reason)
August 22, 200619 yr I'm guessing: 1. Bouncy 2. Shakira 3. Chamillionaire :puke2: 4. Cascada 5. Keane

August 22, 200619 yr I think Beyonce DESERVES no.1, I can't hack another week of Shakira, I don't know why everyone hates 'Deja vu' its miles better that the discusting 'Check Up On It' :puke:
August 22, 200619 yr Author Personally I can't hack another week with Shakira, but its better than Chamillionaire, and Beyonce, it seems August is the time period for long runners, does anyone remember Wet Wet Wet and Bryan Adams   And we only have had 13 #1s so far this year when compared to last year, drama
August 22, 200619 yr I think the main reason why Shakira being No.1 so long is annoying is that it is a "default" No.1. Its only there because no other song can muster decent enough sales to topple it. It is consistently selling and average amount and if it was up against Gnarls or the like, wouldn't have been No.1 at all. Edited August 22, 200619 yr by Brutarn

August 22, 200619 yr There's no way the Arctics will stay in the top 5 - they usually drop like a rock after the first/second week. So do most indie acts, with Snow Patrol and the Kooks being the main exceptions. I do agree that they'll probably drop to atleast 8/9 but I think they'll still be somewhat higher than Keane who you placed top 5... ;) Anyway, the top 3 is going to probably be my least favourite top 3 EVER. :puke2: Although Chamillionaire is awful and is one of the worst songs of the year I hope it climbs as it's the lesser of three HUGE evils!
