What are the chances of Loreen's new single going top 40, will it even be released in time for her appearance to have an effect?

I really hope so! It's released on May 17th so let's just hope that includes the UK too!

Another Friday release? They must reckon it'll be massive across Europe. Will be interesting to see if Loreen's appearances in Eurovision do anything to boost sales of her new single in the UK.

1. Daft Punk - Get Lucky (Radio Edit) [feat. Pharrell Williams] 100%

2. Passenger - Let Her Go 66.21%

Passenger has been increasing non stop for a long time. I think next week we could get a new iTunes #1, if i didn't know about kworb pop bars then it would look like nothing is happening at the top of the iTunes chart based on the Big Top 40 website "Live iTunes top 10"

Unfortunately it seems like I Love It will be getting to number one, It should have still been released back in March as I'm sure it's overall sales would have been much higher.

35. Olly Murs - Dear Darlin

Eurovision:

227. Emmelie de Forest - Only Teardrops (Eurovision 2013 - Denmark)

232. Bonnie Tyler - Believe In Me (Eurovision Edit)

292. Loreen - Euphoria (Single Version)

557. Bonnie Tyler - Believe In Me

1131. Dina Garipova - What If (Eurovision 2013 - Russia)

1169. Who See - Igranka (Eurovision 2013 - Montenegro)

1242. Robin Stjernberg - You (Eurovision 2013 - Sweden)

1245. Ryan Dolan - Only Love Survives

1277. Cascada - Glorious

1341. Alexander Rybak - Fairytale

1486. Roberto Bellarosa - Love Kills

The UK getting the hype for Emmelie then :o Bizarre that Fairytale always pops back without even a mention!
Based on that I think Emmelie could potentially do an Alexander Rybak if she wins. (Not heard the song but I gather it's a likely winner?)

Personally i LOVE 'You' by Robin Stjernberg and I think Sweden should win Eurovision.

Can I just ask... Where the hell has this Robin Thicke track just come from? I didn't know about it till a couple of days a go and I gave it a listen and found it incredibly... BORING. Why is everyone hyping it to go straight to number one for? Also, why would it get an early release, why is everyone saying its going to drop earlier than release date. To add to my confusion, apart from Buzzjack I've heard NO ONE talk about this song, I've never heard it on Radio 1 and have never seen it on TV.

I think there are quite a few people over-estimating 'I Love It'. Yes it's a brilliant song and deserves buckets of success but like Robin Thicke's song, where I am there's been no one talking about it, I've never seen it on TV and have never heard it on radio yet (I'm sure airplay will pick up). In my opinion, it think it will be a sleeper hit. It'll debut high because of the people that know it (quite a few will due to the fact we've all had ages to discover it) and then drop a bit before airplay picks up more when they realise it isn't going to flop disasterously and then people will still discussing it more therefore propelling it to the peaks of the chart i.e 'Let Her Go'. To add to things even though the popularity of this song is extremely polarised we all know that The Saturdays ALWAYS debut where they peak with massively front-loaded sales (apart from post album songs of course) and I can see, due it's so far large media coverage, the fact that is already playlisted on Capital and the fact it's being released as a follow up to the once fastest-sellingle of the year that this song can only be at least half as big as 'What About Us' and it will also attract new buyers because of its completely different style to 'WAU'. I can see The Saturdays taking the crown on June 30th but wait a couple of weeks and Icona Pop will have their turn.

Yeah it's odds-on favourite and it has just been drawn in the second half of the final increasing its chances further!

Robin Thicke's song (which I love personally), has been getting most of its promotion from the Internet, due to its music video (moreso one video than the other ), and it's also getting used in adverts. And Radio 1 has played it a few times actually. Once when I was listening to the song on Youtube I was reading the comments and the top comment was "Like if you heard this on Radio 1".

I think I Love It will be big (maybe not #1, but it'll do well). Capital airplay alone can make it a big hit, and there might be more promotion for it before it gets released. I've seen the song getting used in an advert on Youtube as well.

As for people talking about a song in real life, I agree with you. I haven't heard anybody talk about either song (yet), however, Moves Like Jagger has sold like 1.3 milllion and I don't think I've ever heard anybody in real life talk about it, so... Real life experiences are generally good to help judge how much a song might sell and how much hype there is, but there's a lot of times, where the charts and what I see in real life are way out, so I wouldn't worry if you haven't heard anybody talk about those songs yet, I think there is enough hype for both of them to be big hits, and if they were released right now they'd probably go straight into the top 10.

I really wish Beyonce & Andre 3000's 'Back to Black' was available to buy. :(

You must be the first person I've come across that appears to like that version of 'Back to Black'. I can more often than not see the appeal in songs which I don't like, but with this, I'm not seeing it. :( Shame as I was looking forward to hearing their version before.

It's utterly reprehensible. Another one to hand to the pile of horrors she should be deeply ashamed of.
