HAHA thats exactly why they do it, so its entirely based on their rythmic pop playlis. God forbid they would have to play a new entry by a band that has gigged for years, sat down written a original song and performed instruments or even an artist who is more than 20 years old - or worse scenario - BOTH!!

Good old commercial radio - capitalism was mean to bring competition, uniqueness and variety but it manages to turn into a monopoly of musical types on british commercial stations!!

Capital FM isn't "rhythmic" in any way, even though it might want to give off that impression to seem cool. A proper rhythmic station would've played Niggas in Paris and Bassline Junkie and Pour It Up and Harlem Shake and My Life during the day-time. It's just straight-up pop music. Capital is like Heart FM without the 80's songs basically.

Loreen is mentioned in this thread far too often, think she needs her own iTunes watch thread -_- This thread might only be 10 pages long then though. I said it.

lol. Last year when Euphoria went to #1 on iTunes the thread got to like 50 pages in the week, even though the forum was down for half the week!

Okay remove the word rhymic then! Thats just how an article in MW described them when reviewing the playlists!

 148. Stephanie Treo - I Love It

:o And still 6 weeks until it is actually released! This is hopefully going to be massive, they need to bring the release date closer though!

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. I take it you've never listened to Capital in the evenings?

Why does Lena never get any love? :( I can understand people ignoring 'Running Scared' but 'Satellite' is a stone cold classic and should be treated as such!
Where's Olly Murs at combined? I hadn't expected it to out-peak Army of Two (even though it was a pretty awful song), but it's certainly looking that way. to #11 now.

The last Kworb update puts him just a tad behind #10 but I imagine he'll be top 10 combined when it refreshes.

Can't believe how well Olly is doing with 'Dear Darlin''! Will be more important for it to boost his album though.

 36. Tich - Dumb

Small boost which I think is due to a performance on Friday Download! :D

I specified "day-time" for that reason. I have listened at night (not evening, it's still all pop songs then) and I hear songs like Adorn and Clique like once an hour, and you have to put up with all these bubble-gum pop songs like Titanium and California Gurls in-between.

I'm willing to bet that a huge majority of Capital listeners are female now tbh. I haven't always hated Capital, I liked it a few years ago.

Agreed, Capital is definitely more dance orientated. I heard Avicii, Rudimental, Calvin Harris and Disclosure in a short space of time. Heart wouldn't get that exciting/ambitious even if ALL of it's copies of "Dull and safe music that nobody would actively complain about but ultimately will forget" broke.

18. #Beautiful (feat. Miguel) - Mariah Carey

34. We Own It (Fast & Furious) [feat. Wiz Khalifa] - 2 Chainz

38. Young and Beautiful - Lana Del Rey

80. It's Over - Rod Stewart

I agree with you, these are all very valid points as well.

Oh, and how is Titanium "bubblegum pop"?!
