July 22, 201311 yr Insanity made the Top 3 behind Everything I Do and I'm Too Sexy and sold very well - evidently, as it ended up the tenth best seller of 1991. I wonder if we did a Sporcle of the Top 10 songs of all the years of the 1990s which songs would be least remembered.
July 22, 201311 yr This is going back before my time a bit, but for something that was one of the biggest sellers of the year once, I never hear this anywhere: #3 in 1991 and in the year top 10, but I don't think I heard it until about 2006 - by which time I'm pretty sure I'd heard every other yearly top 10 song of every other year of the 1990s! I guess its very of-its-time early 90s sound means it hasn't lasted as something like Bryan Adams or Whitney Houston has. I'd argue that Richard Marx's #3 "Hazard" is even more unknown, though that was just outside the Top 10 for 92 (and slightly more recent too!).
July 22, 201311 yr I'd argue that Richard Marx's #3 "Hazard" is even more unknown, though that was just outside the Top 10 for 92 (and slightly more recent too!). Well, I can name quite a few radio stations you obviously don't listen to then.
July 23, 201311 yr Well, I can name quite a few radio stations you obviously don't listen to then. I don't listen to much radio at all (only BBC 6 Music and occasionally BBC Radio 1 at work) - why the need to when music is instantly available all around us? Edited July 23, 201311 yr by Doctor Blind
July 23, 201311 yr Insanity is great, just realised that I somehow don't have it on my iTunes so I've downloaded it! One more purchase for this forgotten classic then!
July 23, 201311 yr I'm just saying that it's a song that still gets a lot of airplay so it's obviously not forgotten. It should be, obviously, but it seemingly isn't.
July 24, 201311 yr I wouldn't say these were particularly massive, but the following were number 1's that I reckon most have forgotten: Timbaland ft Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake - Give It To Me Dizzee Rascal - Dirtee Disco Will.i.am ft Eva Simons - This is Love Kid Rock - All Summer Long
