215. MS MR - Hurricane

The slayage.

Could there be a top 10 effect for a pre-order track? Blurred Lines is killing it. 150-170K next week?

When's Selena's track Getting released? Really liking it.

15th July.

I'm not overly keen, but I can see this doing at least as well as Demi has with 'Heart Attack'.

Initially I disliked it, thinking it was simply a What's My Name rehash (which tbh, it is. Wasn't surprised at all that Stargate produced it.) But after I heard it on Radio 1, it just clicked.

Wow, just had a look on Compare My Radio and the track has apparently only been played once on any station (Radio 1) in the past 30 days. Hoping radio will latch onto it soon enough.

Apparently Robin Thicke has a Graham Norton performance slot set in the next few weeks.

The first time two entries of the same song are in the top 5 since Cee-Lo Green's "Forget You".

Adele's Someone Like You came after that didn't it?

A tv performance could give Olly a massive hit - top 5 at the least, great performance!!

Blurred Lines will have massive pre-orders but im wondering how much passive sales theyll get after that as it hasnt had THAT much sig airplay yet!!

Indeed it did. I think that was #1 and #3 at one stage (certainly #1 and #4 at least).

Can't believe Robin Thicke is nearly in the top 10 on pre-orders! It's amazing how this year has gone from relatively slow in terms of singles sales, to massive, in the space of a few weeks! :D

Not sure why they're calling it a 'Deluxe Version', but whatever. Icona Pop's label surely have to move this release forward?

They really need to, the original date of 3rd June would work perfectly but I fear that they are going to wait until the 30th. :(

Part of me wants Icona to release within the next two weeks to avoid Icona vs The Saturdays, but the way it's going Icona is going to lose out on a couple of thousand sales which may benefit The Saturdays. even though they don't have a chance

I personally don't mind how early they release it, as long as they don't wait until the 30th: John Newman NEEDS that #1 smash hit :(

30th June is going to be a death week, Icona vs The Saturdays vs John Newman with The Wanted and Iggy hanging around.

Pre-Orders

190. Icona Pop - I Love It

191. John Newman - Love Me AGain

345. The Saturdays - Gentleman

Looking at the release schedule Robin Thicke could get a good run at #1 (4 to 5 weeks), unless Wiley's and Dizzee with Robbie singles get in the way. I can't see Union J at #1, or Icona Pop's single drops early, since some fakes are appearing.
I'm with Ryan, they need to push it forward to 3rd June. Robin might still beat them, but they're losing out on a shit load of sales this way.

Blurred Lines could still be selling strong too! (Iggy Azalea's song is out the week after though, isn't it?)

Oh Bounce's release date has been moved to the 8th July, I thought it was originally supposed to be the 30th June.

I thought Union J would be a certainty for number one, I guess they might have to settle for 3rd, which would be quite pleasing. I think the next song at number one will be The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna, the airplay and pre-orders have been fantastic!

Lucy Spraggan is out that week too! If she gets support from TV and Radio then she could be a top 5 contender too. And there is a chance that Sebastian Ingrosso's single 'Reload' could also do well after the relative success of 'Calling (Lose My Mind)'.
