Must be getting plenty of exposure from the new Fast & Furious film then (it's on the soundtrack), it's about to go Top 10 as well :/

 

'La La La' has done amazingly well so far, would be a shame if it misses #1 now (i still think it will)

It actually was #10 on iTunes earlier this morning but then 'La La La' overtook and pushed it back down to #11. It is gaining on Wretch 32 so could well go top 10 on iTunes again.

 

Is it any good? I look at the act and automatically think "yeah, I doubt I'll like that song".

That's the only reason it's charting. It probably wouldn't have gone top 1500 if it wasn't in the movie. :lol:

I heard 'La La La' for the first time the other day and I was SO disappointed. Considering I loved both 'Wonder' and 'Latch', it sounded like a winning combination on paper. :(

No idea if there's been a Maltese chart single, but there have been at least 2 Maltese chart albums, by Joseph Calleja (conveniently titling one of those albums 'The Maltese Tenor' :P)

What exactly indicates that? The "album effect" is overrated generally. 'Mirrors' only increased by a few thousand in the week of the album release, even Rudimental who had one of the biggest album effects in general (as shown by 'Feel the Love' re-entering the top 40) only saw 'Waiting All Night' have a very small increase.

 

Admittedly with 'Get Lucky' the album version is going to be a substantially different version which might mean they get a bigger "album effect" than most (I've never understood why people would think the release of a second, identical version would attract sales that the first version couldn't), but I wouldn't expect anything more than a 20K boost in sales at most.

 

Charting in other countries very high is another indicator...as Jonjo said, we rarely get monster hits like Get Lucky.

2 Chainz T10 is quite comical actually, though Flo Rida got a lot of success from featuring on soundtracks, so no reason why other's can't join in.
