Another potential problem for Emmelie is that next week's Radio 1 chart show will only be doing the top 10 because of the Big Weekend and I can't see her staying there for that all important play.

6. We Own It (Fast & Furious) [feat. Wiz Khalifa] - 2 Chainz

I cannot believe this is so high. It's like 2004 has come back from the dead.

This year has been quite 2004-ish overall really. Musically, we've got Thrift Shop, Can't Hold Us, Blurred Lines, Mirrors, Suit & Tie, Harlem Shake, etc. which could've been hits back then. Also nearly all the dance hits are by proper dance artists now, like it as back in 2004. Plus loads of artists who were popular around that time period like Britney, 50 Cent, Christina, Nelly, Pharrell and many others have gotten hits too.

Damn, I realised earlier that this would likely happen. :( Will need to make the most of hearing it played on the chart update instead.

480. Daft Punk - Get Lucky (feat. Pharrell Williams)

^ Is that the album version? :o

I think so! :o

 188. Get Lucky (feat. Pharrell Williams) - Daft Punk

Expecting to see this in at LEAST the top 20 later based on most other countries.

 54. Daft Punk "Get Lucky" (AV)

Without looking, I'm predicting the other Pharrell feature ("Lose Yourself To Dance") to be the second highest album track.

 50. The 1975 "Chocolate"

 52. The 1975 "The City"

What's keeping "Chocolate" going exactly? It's done amazingly well, despite R1 picking up the next single instead.

'La La La' was always going to do well as it was as high as #10 iirc on pre-orders. The song is ok but nothing fantastic, imo, although I'm sure there are people out there who probably prefer 'La La La' to 'Get Lucky'. It's just a shame that 'La La La' is a bonafide one week wonder in the making and I just don't see it having a long chart run. 'So Good To Me' seemed to have potential based on its pre-orders yet it's already down 02-07 in the UK charts.

I know thatll be those reactionary record labels again even releasing a few weeks after first play a la Robin Thicke would increase sales and prevent significant drops in the 2nd week and a top 40 chart run of 5-8 weeks and it would mean songs that are popular at that time would be in the chart!!

Sorry, but it's nowhere NEAR touching...

Best iTunes moment I've experienced since following iTunes :P

Mine was in christmas week 2009 when i turned on on the tuesday to see RAGE 1 & 2 on the chart and i realised there was a chance of a genuine christmas chart battle for the first time in 6 years!!

I'm guessing they are one of the acts performing on Radio 1's Big Weekend starting Friday, plus their new EP is out this week.

What!!! no chart show :o

I'm surprised that Bonnie's not doing better. How can we expect Europe to get behind us if we don't support the song ourselves? Should be at least Top 10.

I think it's fairly obvious. She's been universally seen as a joke, is a washed up act and the song is dire.

With 2 versions of get lucky, i cant see Daft Punk not ending up number 1 this week in both the singles and album chart.

By my reckoning, the second version will need to go top 5 itself for this to happen.

I really hope it does though!

I'm hoping it an be Number 1 again this week, and bring its total sales up to 700,000. That would be amazing if it did, although even if it doesn't manage it this week, it will only miss out by a few thousand copies I think.

24. Lana Del Rey - Young and Beautiful

I hope it will be Top 30 on Sunday. It's nice song and Lana is always welcome..:)

I can't believe the janoskians are down to #88, they were top 10 the other day I swear
