April 4, 201411 yr Late but hoorah! And nice to have a release date, ready for its #138 chart debut! Radio 2 will playlist it in the next few weeks I expect, Radio 1 won't touch it even though it's suited to both stations! Lower case hipster lettering on the sleeve!

Radio 1 and Capital will never support any of our entries and Radio 2 never kick off their support until a couple of weeks before the contest. The only hope of it doing well in the chart is if it wins. It seems to me that a lot of the hype for the song comes from it being a respectable modern pop song which is better than our usual entries as opposed to it being a genuine winning contender. Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic that the BBC put more effort in to finding a great song this year but it still doesn't feel like it will come very close to winning. And I'm scared what will happen if it bombs, the BBC will think 'that's it then, we tried and it failed, back to the shit from now on'.
April 5, 201411 yr I'm confident of a good placing for us this year, I'd say top 10 is almost certain.
April 5, 201411 yr It deserves a good result as it's a strong, memorable song and she's a great singer. At worst I think it will finish mid-table, but the initial hype for it has indeed been dying off. Hopefully she'll wow in rehearsals and the odds will change! I'm generally optimistic but I think back to 2011 and still can't get my head around how I Can managed to miss the top ten! It was one of the three biggest post contest hits too around Europe, it had all the ingredients of success but the juries pulled it right back. Molly seems more jury-friendly but there are a good 15 songs this year that seem like potential jury catnip, I hope she doesn't get lost in the mix.

I love how transparent it is this year. Any juror that gives the likes of Latvia, Belgium or Belarus high points will be getting a lot of Twitter abuse from the fanz :lol: I do feel that the jury and televote winners will probably be different this year. It looks like the jury vote might be Armenia's to lose but I don't see it winning the public vote.
April 5, 201411 yr I can see Denmark doing well on the televote. I still don't see Armenia as a winner despite the hype and the odds. I really think 'Children Of The Universe' is the most 'winning song' sounding if there can be such a thing.
April 5, 201411 yr I concur, but I don't think it WILL win. I'm resigning myself top 5, which obviously is amazing for us, I just HOPE the powers that be realise that and don't (once again) go back to our recent form.
April 6, 201411 yr Author I agree, I don't quite think it's a winner but top 10 should definitely be achievable unless Molly gets drawn in the first 5 or something like that and possibly top 5 with a second half draw. If the draw is very favourable towards Molly then she could possibly get close to a win, but that applies to the other favourites too. I think the draw will be a big determining factor this year, probably like it was in 2011. I guess if 'Running Scared' and 'Popular' had swapped places in the draw, they could have also swapped places in the results or at least been much closer (I know Italy were 2nd but there was no chance of a win due to the low televote score).
