There's no massive personal favourites for me here, but that's mainly because all of them have just been very, very overplayed.

 

EXACTLY THIS. I went for Titanium.

Titanium is probably the only one I wouldn't mind listening to these days, the others are just terribly overplayed and have been ruined for me (at least the ones I liked, which doesnt include Gotye).

Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know, it stands out for me. :D

Carly Rae Jepsen without a doubt.

Between Titanium, Love The Way You Lie, Somebody That I Used To Know and Only Girl in that order - I'm giving the edge to Titanium, despite loving all four of those. It's a good list on the whole, we haven't really done that badly with the big songs.

There are some great ones but I'd go with Moves Like Jagger.

I voted the other day, for Adele. Genuinely a gorgeous song that never got old for me, still love it as much now as I did when it was at the height of its dominance. Probably helps that it was actually the least played of the 3 big '21' singles on radio IIRC (although I still love both of those too, probably more than 'SLY' actually although they're all very close).

 

Ed, Rihanna, Gotye and PSY are the only others on the list I'd ever actively want to listen to these days and PSY is more for the video than the song. Also quite like/don't mind Eminem, Matt (not that I ever hear 'When We Collide' now), Jessie, David and fun. The others are all varying levels of bad.

 

'Get Lucky' would get my vote if this thread was started just 6 or so weeks later :P

'Price Tag' for me. Such a good, simple, big pop song!

MLJ is obviously the best. Love Gotye, Matt and Titanium too. Others are alright but some are awful. I can't Believe the A Team is a million seller it's just way too bland and doesn't even justify itself by being an X factor/charity single.

03 Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris - We Found Love This has aged very well, the Calvin Harris breakdown is always great to hear

04 David Guetta feat. Sia - Titanium It's tired a little from overplay but I can't deny its brilliance

05 Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe Love this but I rarely listen to it out of my own choice simply because I've heard it more than enough times last year :lol:

06 Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger Their best single to date. One day hopefully Bre you'll see the light and enjoy this song :P

07 Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) S&M and We Found Love have overshadowed this for me, but it's still great

08 Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know I don't love it as much as I did at the time, but I always smile when I hear this song as it's not very often these days

09 Jessie J feat. B.o.B - Price Tag OK but it doesn't deserve the status of million seller, it was just lucky to be released at the right time

10 James Arthur - Impossible Very good for a winner's single, another inspired song choice for this year's X Factor winner please

11 fun. feat Janelle Monae - We Are Young Good, but killed by overplay

12 Adele - Someone Like You A nice listen but doesn't stand out for me in this list

13 Eminem feat. Rihanna - Love the Way You Lie This has aged badly.

14 Matt Cardle - When We Collide I did like this

15 Ed Sheeran - The A Team At the start of its chart run I thought it was dull and overhyped, now Ed Sheeran is still dull and even more overhyped. I did try to like this song but it isn't all that great

16 Bruno Mars - Just the Way You Are One of the best Bruno solo songs, out of a bad bunch. Don't like this.

I picked MLJ.

That was a bit early, even for me. I'm very much a morning person though. There's a lot going on at work at the moment and I like to get in early to keep on top of things.

 

Thing is with MLJ, it's a fantastic pop song but that's it. There's nothing particularly innovative let alone groundbreaking about it. Somebody I used to Know is not only excellent but it's very different, there's nothing quite like it and that's why it ultimately won over MLJ.

I don't hear the song very often. When I say smile I don't mean actually smiling lol, I just like the song but newer songs take listening priority.
