Bump. More please.

I've made a quick list by sight of dual nominations/nominating an AQ that haven't already been pointed out in the the thread - if one of you wishes to use this to nominate something else in the corresponding year, feel free. New posts though.

Gorillaz - Dirty Harry - PumpedUpKicks, ElectroBoy (2005)

Estelle - 1980 - PumpedUpKicks, Rabbit Heart (2004)

Beyonce - Check On It - Tim, Jonjo (2006)

Neon Trees - Animal - Tim, Chez Wombat (2011)

Junior Senior - Move Your Feet - Rabbit Heart, Chez Wombat (2003)

Wynter Gordon - Dirty Talk - Haus, jafetsigfinns (2011)

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Bittersweet - Leonardo, jafetsigfinns (2010)

Dizzee Rascal - Dance Wiv Me - Thermometer, ElectroBoy (2008)

Keri Hilson - Knock You Down - AaronTM & Jonjo (2009)

The Killers - When You Were Young - Rabbit Heart (2006)

Nick F1 gave several 'backups' so he gets a paragraph to himself, but if anyone who nominated one of these gets here first and wants to use up their 'free' nomination in place of him, that's fine too.

Ashanti - Only U, Embrace - Nature's Law, Justice Vs Simian - We Are Your Friends, Britney Spears - Circus

Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me, Emeli Sande - My Kind Of Love

Lee and Simon's lists were completely nominated when posted so they're free to replace everything.

2005+6:

2005

LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk Is Playing At My House

Les Rythmes Digitales - Jacques Your Body (Make Me Sweat)

Snoop Dogg feat. Charlie Wilson and Justin Timberlake - Signs

2006

David Guetta vs. The Egg - Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)

Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Follow You Into The Dark

Kanye West feat. Lupe Fiasco - Touch The Sky

Long song titles today. (I'm aware Les Rythmes Digitales wasn't released in 2005 but I talked to Iz and he said he'd allow it).

Do you really have to drag it out? Just do everything and then post it, don't do it in chunks. :P

2006:

Replace Beyonce 'Check On It' with:

SunBlock feat. Robin Beck 'First Time'

2009:

Replace Keri Hilson 'Knock You Down with:

Lady Sovereign 'So Human'

:D

Seeing as someone else has nominated Dance Wiv Me, I'll change it to a nomination for Wearing My Rolex by Wiley

It's been 5 years since "5 Years Time" :o I wonder if Noah and The Whale are walking around a zoo right now

HEY. Rabbit Heart is awesome, for your info >:(

I know. :o He knows it's banter (or I hope he knows)! :D

Neon Tigers FTW! :cheer:

:P

But 5 years since 2008 terrifies me. Time is going by so quickly! Next year I will be marking out at the prospect of 5 years since the best year in music ever (for me, personally). 2009 is glorious. (and the famous Ethan predicting #19 for one of the most obvious number 1's of that year, 'My Life Would Suck Without You' :heehee:)

Nothing like a little bit of Neon Tigers loyalty.

As far as I'm concerned, the best years for music were 2004, 2012 and 2008 in that order. It's quite weird how the leap years and Olympic years always produce the best music!

You're just jealous that you didn't get picked to be part of the best team :coffee:

Was it really that obvious at the time? It didn't exactly have massive sales, plus she'd never had a top 5 hit before it. And she had the big competition of Taylor Swift (thank God she won that battle, even though I don't like either song).

I am aware as there should be Neon Tigers loyalty!

I'm not too bothered about the 2003 or 2004 ones but:

2006

Replace The Killers with:

Razorlight - America

Yes it was. It'd just leaked and the hype surrounding it was massive. Even if it wasn't going to number 1, it was an easy top 3! I think just about everyone bar him suggested top 3 for it. (Those voting lower were usually the skeptical fans "sounds like a hit, but I'm not sure it'll do that well because of her track record" or whatever ) our sales predictions were a little off though (I think we said about 70k-80k, with some of us even saying we wouldn't be surprised at 100k+ opening), but it still got to number 1, so who cares? :magic:
