Robin Thicke has sold 80k already! From a reliable source.

Seems likely considering it was no. 1 on iTunes quite early on Sunday morning. Probably sold 50k on Sunday alone (think Sundays are usually the biggest day for singles sales)

I'm thinking that this could sell 180k this week if this source is correct? It seems crazy to think about...

And to think I thought it wouldn't go to #1 at one point!

Wow :o high sales this week.

80k already although a lot will have been preorders so its sales will be slower from now. Still should do 170k and be the fastest seller of the year!!
Didn't Naughty Boy open with 80k last week? If so, surely 'Blurred Lines' will be selling around 145k too? At least not reaching 170k.

It opened with 77k on Wednesday rather than 80k on Tuesday, so I think that Blurred Lines will be slightly huger! :o

Naughty Boy sold 77k by the Wednesday midweek. I think Robin will be slightly more frontloaded than Naughty Boy was but he'll still get the biggest weekly sale of the year with ease I should imagine.

Wow :o I can't believe how good sales at the #1 spot have been recently!

And I haven't heard much hype for Blurred Lines outside of Buzzjack, so I think it could be a long lasting hit and sell loads as it grows in popularity! Maybe not a million sales but a total of 700k+ seems possible. (not the first week total, before anyone asks)

Cheers, should manage over 150k then. Still can't imagine 170k though.

I think it's got to be remembered how high pre-orders were for Blurred Lines - it was in the iTunes chart for a few weeks and got to number 11 before release, so I'd think at least 30k of its sales were pre-orders (might be wrong though)... So yeah, it'll probably still do 150k this week, but I doubt it'll be as much as some people are predicting. Time will tell though. I can't believe how much number 1 sales seem to be picking up this year! :)
I really hope 'Blurred Lines' is heavily frontloaded and sells less than 160k by Sunday.
Get Lucky, Blurred Lines, La La La and Let Her Go are all so bland or just terrible. I really don't get it.

I really like La La La, but I agree with the others. Blurred Lines I guess just isn't really my thing, I lump it with Suit & Tie as boring monster hits. Much preferred Robin Thicke's "Sex Therapy", now that should've been his worldwide megahit, so sultry.

You're forgetting about Little Mix. Their four singles (I won't count Cannonball) all reached top 20 and had decent longevity and sales, plus their album did much better than On Your Radar.

We'll have to wait and see how 'Gentleman' and their album does but I do think LM are bigger than them.

Yet so much worse than 'Chasing Lights' - the comparable first album.

I think LM should be doing considerably better than they are considering they are XF winners and get a ridiculous amount of promo

A lot of music fans like 'bland/terrible', apparently...

I wouldn't say it's that comparable. Album sales were much higher in 2008.

Why do people assume XF winners should be selling amazingly? There's loads of past evidence for the contrary.

I would agree that Little Mix second album will be the tester. Their debut has managed platinum and has had a decent chart run and its not quiet finished yet.
