The lyric video was put on Tumblr, the version of Skirt is exactly the same... makes me think it's probably just a buzz single with a lyric video. No way is she going to release a song which neither Radio 1 nor Radio 2 will touch with a bargepole!

Ah, definitely seems to be a buzz single then. She's previously had lyric videos for 'Put Your Hands Up' and 'Flower' which were both more like buzz singles than actual ones.

Are radio 1 going to touch her with a bargepole anyway though? They haven't for quite a long time now, I think it's a possibility they won't whatever she releases.

I still don't like this :( The chorus is fine but everything else is just meh.

I'd say PYHU was more of a single than a buzz single tbh.

Flower too was a single with a video and 2 physical formats.

Watch the vid here: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a48...ideo-watch.html I likey.

The main reason I consider it more of a buzz single is because Kylie did say that it was "a treat for the fans" and that they weren't bothered about its chart success.

So those pictures released were from this lyric video then! I think I can hear some differences with this and the "leaked" club mix, specifically the part just before the last chorus.

I know that they *were* singles, but the way they were released is more "buzz single-like".

I doubt if they will. That's why releasing something quite young/on-trend is a risk. If they don't play it and it alienates Radio 2, she's pretty screwed. Anyway a reliable poster on SayHey has confirmed this is just a buzz track. Album due September.

Ooh thanks for this info. The DigitalSpy link also claims it is just a teaser too, but it's not much of a surprise to us it seems anyway. Happy with the September release too; sales will be picking up from the summer low (I know Aphrodite was a summer release but as we know, completely different market back then) and there won't be *too* much threat from other albums.

I hope we get a lead single this month/early July and then perhaps a second single released a week before the album in September.

She is not going to release a lyric video for a big promo/release... however she is putting a lot of effort into this if not being released.... so I expect it to be a stand alone release on iTunes and see how it does...
Standing around in a pretty dress for a simple lyric video is hardly alot of effort :P she is creating buzz for the new album, hence "buzz" track.
Well she has covered her website with the song, the song is being played in Ibiza clubs, there are a lot of remixes out already, she has shot a video and it has a director etc and the song is basically a Nom Du Strip song and they have added some Kylie lyrics to it. What I mean is, they must be releasing it somewhere as the fans want it...

Its a new song by Kylie, of course its gonna get the remix treatment and plays in clubs :P

P!nk released lyric videos to her last album but not all of them were singles.

ooooh this is everywhere online. innit?

but an album in september. what happened to her having a break? LOL

I don't think she was ever going to have a break, I think that was just a rumour which started after she left her manager. There was plans for a studio album to be recorded and released in 2013 anyway, so I doubt she would have abandoned the project.

Are radio 1 going to touch her with a bargepole anyway though?

Cue double entendres... ;)

Then let's hope it sells like CGYOOMH so they end up looking like complete idiots, just as the did after snubbing Moves Like Jagger!

If Robbie can have such a huge hit with 'Candy', then it's entirely possible she could get a big hit without their support.
