Nicki's success tricked people into thinking female rap was back, but alas not.

 

Don't get the deal with this girl at all though. I like her image but she doesn't seem to have any particular talent. The songs are nothing special. Change Your Life could literally be by anybody.

Her and Azealia are in two entirely different situations though. I feel like Iggy reaches new career peaks every other month while Azealia has been stuck in a limbo since 212 (which was big until certain point and for an underground act like she was back then, I mean it didnt even chart on the US Dance charts) and since she has been getting no music success anywhere since then her album will obviously get pushed back.

 

I feel like Iggy could put her album out in the UK now if she wanted and her Mercury/Virgin EMI or whoever planned to do that but her US label is obviously holding it back so they can release it worldwide at the same time and opted to wait since she seems to be reaching new heights of popularity over there every day so they must have some type big promo or whatever planned for later this year or early next.

 

Plus Iggy said there will be yet another single in the UK before the album to keep the "hype" going. I really don't think her album is being delayed just because she isn't getting Nicki Minaj-sized hits or is seemingly going "nowhere" like Azealia in the mainstream. Of course while they wait til next year Iggy's buzz could die, but then we start entering the prediction scenarios. She could also suddenly have a big feature and start being everywhere or have a new song that clicks everything for her.

'Change Your Life' is going to do very well here, this album is going to be released. Whether it's released in the US or not I don't know, but I'd be shocked if this didn't see the light of day.

Hope so, this is one of my most anticipated albums in a while. And all the previews about it so far sound amazing

In short THREE albums coming next year (:drama:). 'The New Classic' out in March. A live version of the album already recorded. And a collaborative album with T.I & the Hustle Gang...

 

Just release ONE damn project then start talking about the rest. So don't want to give up on her but she's starting to make it easy with this waiting.

I hope to god she doesn't turn into the new Azealia Banks and makes us wait FOREVER :(.

Amazon still have the release date as December 30, oh dear.

Apparently this has a release date of 31st March now.
