Ok it's not every single being a monster hit like Innocent Eyes era, but then how many Australians have had hits that keep flowing like this over their last 4 records? I just think that Innocent Eyes was an exceptional era bought upon by a lot of factors, which can't be done again (and I think we all agree won't want to either!) As long as the music is strong - and in my opinion she hasn't actually had a rubbish single. It's just a shame some single opportunities have been missed (Electric Storm, Last Night On Earth, Brave Face, War On Love, Hunters and the Wolves)

Admittedly it was impressive to come back after a four year hiatus with a couple of big top five smashes last year, although The Voice has obviously really helped her out. Had she not been on that I'm guessing they'd have been much smaller hits, but like you say, not living in Australia I don't know what her general profile is like there these days.

She hasn't had a rubbish single but I'd have never put out A Little Too Late, I Can't Break It To My Heart (although I know that has its fans, I'm not one of them) or Dancing With A Broken Heart when all of the songs you mentioned were sitting untouched.

LOL! sorry Phil but that's complete tosh. Her last album sold gold, the one before that 3x platinum. I'm glad she can still get a top 10 single but I would say the Australian public is tiring of her.

The reaction to her is positive and album sales have dramatically declined since Delta. Plus the actual sales gulf isn't that big tbh. Not to mention the changing music tastes of the public meant that it was natural for her to experience a decline.

I've had a little go at re-editing this song into the format that I wish it had originated in. It's only a demo and I could do with somebody with talented remixing/production skills (Hits? :D) to have a proper go but you'll get the idea. Basically it adds 30 seconds to the original by using the slowed down ending as the middle eight and then crashing back into the synths to finish the track.

'Heart Hypnotic' sold 14,952 copies in its first week on the chart (but really only 4 days because it was released on a Monday).

Just realised that it's 10 years ago this week when Innocent Eyes was released in the UK! What an album, I had no idea how much it would define my life. Still my favourite album ever  Also means that it's 10 years and a week ago since I started my working life, where did that decade go?
Wow! :o Can't believe it was that long ago. I've had the album for a good 8 years at least, it's my least favourite of hers but the singles and a few other songs are still BRILLIANT.
Listening to it now, it's my favourite album for so many reasons but I think it just came along at a certain important time in my life so the songs all have emotional attachments to me. I know other people dismiss them as filler but the likes of In My Own Time and This Is Not Me mean so much to me, in fact those two in particular are two of my favourite ever songs lyrically. And the music is gorgeous too. A Year Ago Today too, so beautiful and meaningful.
I can't believe it was 10 years ago! :o I know this doesn't refer to the album in particular, but I still remember putting my CD single of 'Not Me, Not I' into the computer to get access to exclusives and extra bonus material that you often used to get with CD singles, and learning the lyrics to 'Not Me, Not I' which was one of the extras you got with that single. I can remember spending hours just singing along to the lyrics of that song. I can't believe that is 10 or so years ago!

Finally! Love the new version!

I'm still living for the regular 3min version too, such a summer tune!

So glad they made this! It's almost the same as the longer version I made
Anyone have a linky wink for this version? <3
Has she even ever had US success?
