January 18, 201411 yr I know she finished Ballet which was emphasised in the Cry Me Out video! She can almost definitely dance and I agree with Umi that her choreography is always rather poor! When performing All About Tonight she would usually stand with a microphone! Although she performed a routine to it on Red Or Black and Royal Variety!
January 18, 201411 yr Maybe if she attempted dancing less then she'd be set least half decent at singing live.
January 18, 201411 yr No she isn't sadly. As a dancer, I can confirm that her dance moves aren't up to a standard level for a pop star. Most popstars nowadays don't dance at all
January 18, 201411 yr I didn't like it at all to begin with, but I've REALLY grown to like this. I blame it on the horns which always help - but aside from the horrid intro and the horrid middle 8 warbling that really stinks of bad Xtina mocking, I do enjoy it and I can see myself loving this in time. I do agree with statements here that I feel a lot of this project is very lazy though - picking an age old Christina demo, photoshoots that look like they've been thrown together with next to zero thought process put into it. The video is also incredibly lazy, she couldn't look less "nasty" propping that handbag in front of her breasts if she wanted to - instead pairing it with a demonic grin, and the scenes where she's rolling her arse in the guy's face is pathetic - the 'Nasty' fabric that's sewn up looks like it's about to fall off, and it just screams BUDGET. Who wants a first single to launch album to scream 'budget'? Having said that, I think Pixie and her label could've played this a lot safer. It might be a lazy, dated demo rehash but it could've been a safe cutesy pop track or jumping on the club party bandwagon. That's one way of which I do vaguely commend her... that and the fact I like it.
January 18, 201411 yr Most popstars nowadays don't dance at all  What I meant by my previous statement is for a popstar who DO dance, Pixie isn't on the same level.
January 18, 201411 yr I just looked through the last few pages and there seriously hasn't been any 'passive aggressive cattiness' coming from anyone but you. The 'Zzzzzzzzz' comment was so incredibly mature too. I would assume all that is wanted from the Pixie camp is to actually try and put a positive spin on the whole thing. People who said they disliked Nasty pretty much explained why, i.e. it's dated and sounds like Xtina but it works the other way round as well. Maybe some particular questions will provide some reaction idk? Why is recording an old Xtina reject good for her? What does she offer to the world as a popstar? (Doing Xtina covers or will she get onto Kylie in the next era? Or perhaps Britney?) Is she evolving as an artist? If you look at ANY major pop star, they have all been through phases, evolving and growing, some for decades. And now for the 'OMG HATE!!1' part which sums up everything I think about Pixie Lott and is all pretty much constructive criticism... There's really not much substance in her in my opinion. She doesn't look like a pop star and it's unlikely she ever will. I don't have time for people who are there just to make quick $$$ and whose music lack any personality. This song is a cheap (literally) attempt at securing a hit based on the name. No creativity, no thinking, no nothing really. Have you ever seen Kylie or Britney or Madonna release a first single as a song that used to be a reject of another pop star?! f*** that shit, seriously. If you want to listen to something generic slapped together in 3 seconds and even buy it - that's your choice but I ain't got time fo dat! Especially the BUYING part. I don't shop in fourth-hand stores tyvm! Pixie Lott has been doing the same shit singing the same songs for however many years she's been in music now. (Even f***ing Cheryl Cole evolved by her 3rd album!) Calm thoughts, gentle thoughts. Deep breaths and relax Edited January 18, 201411 yr by vivek
January 19, 201411 yr Pardon me if I'm jumping on a BANDWAGON but I've not heard this on the radio yet. Maybe its impact date is very soon but I'd be very concerned if it didn't start getting regular airplay soon.
January 19, 201411 yr How is that comment jumping on any bandwagon as it's neither positive or negative. I don't see why it should be getting regular plays at the moment considering it's being released mid-march! The video has impacted too soon imo. Regardless over 100 radio spins since it's debut is a rather promising start.
January 19, 201411 yr Closing this now. Maybe it's a bit hasty but there are still little arguments and everyone overreacting and whilst discussion is obviously the premise of this forum there's no need to go about it in this way! I did say "if it continues" the thread will be closed temporarily; it has continued.
January 19, 201411 yr Thread unlocked but do not think I will hesitate to murder all of you if trouble starts again. You should all be above the arguments in this thread and you know it.
January 19, 201411 yr Pixie Lott is apparently out clubbing in Chelmsford tonight... I am sad I am old and don't have a social life anymore.
January 28, 201411 yr Pixie Lott is performing on Jonathan Ross this Saturday, it's a little bit early to be promoting - although it might generate more interest in 'Nasty'. Currently #31 on the television rolling chart. The EP on iTunes is #605. You can also pre-order the single individually on iTunes and pre-order an acoustic version of 'Nasty'.

Surprising, thought the EP would've fallen lower but great! At least it's a bit of promotion to keep pre orders simmering
