dont steal that job from cassandra, only she can update us, if she knows that she will be very aggressive with you and following you through the forum like she did with me.

Uh, when did I ever say that? Get a life mate.

This charted today at #50 in Ireland, beating the Irish entry itself.

I'm guessing this will get the douze points so.

Oh yes the album is actually good! Gonna have to buy this.

Modern country done right, it rarely happens! And ironically it's by Dutch people. Someone send this to Nashville.

8 hour difference

Dayum at those 2 versions in the UK top 75

Really pleased with second now after the initial disappointment of losing out! I don't know how long ago it was since we last ended so high but I know we were fourth in 1998 so it's at least a very long time ago.

my life is you

Listening to the Big Top 40 just to hear this enter at #4! One of the most random hits in years, nothing about this screams hit at all, as lovely as it is

Never did I expect a Dutch Eurovision entry to chart in the UK

I feel like a proud father right now :snif:

I think this could be the biggest post-ESC hit this year in the UK.

If we can get behind Caro, there's no reason a whole group of Dutch singers can't join her in our hearts!

If only, Phil, if only.

I'd say they stand a pretty good chance if Radio 2 pick them up

It is certainly something that they'd playlist.

I do wish the radio in the UK would play more ESC songs rather than just dismissing them outright. Calm After The Storm could be a nice little hit in the UK if it got some radio play. If radio had gotten behind Loreen two years ago...

Especially when it didn't win - This is a rare occurrence in the UK! I'm actually looking forward to getting their album, Hopefully that will do well too - What iv heard of it so far sounds amazing!

I'm expecting Radio 2 to playlist Conchita, as they usually do playlist the winner if it's MOR enough.

I don't think there's any protocol of playlisting a foreign runner-up so it might miss out, even though it's top 5 on iTunes and much more suited to the station. But we'll see!

The more I listen to the song the more I wish it had won. I absolutely respect everything about Conchita and Rise Like A Phoenix is a very good song, but this song is absolutely gorgeous and I can't understand how it didn't click with me before the performance! Still, there's a couple of songs every year that don't hit me until the final week!

Their album is quite great too!

The best country album I've heard in a LONG time actually, although it's a genre that I tend to dip in and out of.

To think you disliked the song to begin with :kink:
