Higher than I thought it would be but should have still been higher. :cry: The actual qualifiers are half good, half bad. Missing You should be nowhere near that high! The Saturdays' worst song by far.

Oh JEEESUS I missed this. I could've made Arcade Fire/Stromae/Kanye/James Blake all qualify!

 

YAY for Marina and Foals though, even if the latter's not actually as good as everyone says (eek).

 

HOW did Airplanes/Impossible/Once and that really bad Timbaland track do so well?! URGH. I haven't even heard the Kylie or Ellie song, oops!

 

You couldn't have made James Blake qualify (almost made me want to kill you there). Still killing you for blocking 'Power' though

 

'Spanish Sahara' really is as good as everyone says as well!

I voted for TWO of those qualifiers :(

 

Although I'm pleasantly surprised how well Sprawl II did!

Shame Selena was SO close and Lady Antebellum didn't make it, but I lke all those songs in some way (although Spanish Sahara isn't my thing it's OK).

 

Eliza, Shontelle, Marina and especially The Saturdays are the ones I'm most happy about though :wub:

Not the strongest set of qualifiers, but this wasn't exactly the strongest year either. Shontelle, Marina and Timbaland are nice choices, but even as a fan of The Saturdays I struggle to have any enthusiasm for Missing You.

How does Once get through but TBWML does so poorly? I thought every fool recognised the latter was an improvement in every way.

 

Marina getting through is lovely though, and nice surprise seeing the xx get in (even if I don't think I voted for it oops)

Unfortunately this is not the case. It was Bra who knocked out On Melancholy Hill, I don't think your votes changed the qualifiers at all (kind of a relief with sorting it).

Everyone SHOULD recognise that (don't even like Once that much but TBWML is awesome) but Once probably just has more awareness is what I put it down to. :( At least TBWML beat that abomination of a RHCP ripoff.

All of Diana's tracks should have qualified (obviously!), but I'm happy that one of them did. All 3 are incredible though!

Whoever nominated 'O.N.E' (SevenSeize IIRC but might be wrong) is my hero even if it has no chance at all of getting through.

 

It wasn't me, but I gave 'O.N.E' 19pts for forgetting to nominate it myself.

Once is actually a great pop song and I'm glad it got through. All of Diana's other songs (that I've heard of) are bad though, especially My Wicked Heart - that made me lose all interest I had for her (and I wasn't very interested in her to begin with)

:kink: 'My Wicked Heart' is actually my most played song of the 3 singles, it just sounds so fresh today even though I've played it so much. All of Diana's songs constantly sound fresh to me though! :wub:
