Imma Be  Best song so far by MILES, I agree with Haus that the dreadful Rock That Body shouldn't be higher than it :(

Only other song I really care for so far is Hall Of Fame (oops, yes I really do like it).

I'll let Wikipedia do the talking for One More Chance with a couple of interesting facts. It was slated to be the second single, but its release was cancelled in favor of "Heartbreaker". It was believed that Nicole Scherzinger was originally due to feature on the track. The next song is a possible surprise to actually be this high as I was really expecting T.H.E. to be right at the bottom. It became a non-album single after failing to make the tracklist for #willpower. Some inspirational lyrics include, 'I woke up in the morning, hard like morning wood in the morning' and 'This beat is the sh*t, feces.' I think the song is a good but horrid mess that shouldn't be taken too seriously. Mas Que Nada has a claim to fame in that it is the only single to have featured the whole group of the Black Eyed Peas. Sergio Mendes re-recorded the Brazillian song to feature the group and it marked the group's last release until Boom Boom Pow. I mainly remember it from appearing in the FIFA World Cup 2006 game.

Two appearances from Cheryl Cole here and the first of which, she doesn’t have much to do. Check it Out was featured on Nicki Minaj’s album but it was not released to promote it. will.i.am uses another sample here, this time from Video Killed the Radio Star. My main criticism of the song is the lack of interesting chorus. 3 Words is, imo, Cheryl’s best single by far and the only one that I really have time for. I’m surprised at how badly it did here but it probably suffered from those -1s. The song is a duet between the two artists confessing their love for each other and it has been widely suspected over the years that the two are in a relationship but they have assured us that they are only good friends. OMG is another big hit but I’m not as surprised at its position. It was a massive song at the time and is the first song here that was Number 1 both here and in the US. I grew some dislike for it after it ruined Tyler James’ chance of winning the Voice UK  . Bitterness aside, it’s not Usher’s best and it was nice to hear him release songs like Climax with his latest release.

No massive shocks in those groups. I am a little surprised the Nelly song hasn't fallen out yet though.

I Gotta Feeling is the Black Eyed Peas biggest selling single, selling over 8 million in the US and was the first digital million selling single in the UK, I think.... It seems to be a victim of its own success, receiving the most -1s out of all the songs here. As the biggest selling single, I would have expected it to be higher but then it doesn’t fit the group’s sound as well as their other material did for their last two albums. It seems though that it’s a very decisive track but I love it. Heartbreaker is the final single to feature Cheryl Cole and it came about after she auditioned to feature in the single's video for the programme Passions of Girls Aloud. She ultimately received the opportunity to record guest vocals, singing a new part of the chorus and replacing the original female single in the breakdown. To me, the song is mediocre and shouldn't be above 3 Words. A Fergie song falls next and it was originally intended to feature on The Dutchess, it later appeared on the Deluxe Edition. Again, I find the song nothing special, but not that bad either.

Scream and Shout’s success is strange to me especially when considering all of will.i.am’s other solo singles haven’t set the charts alight in the US. It features Britney with a British accent but the original version was co-written for Tulisa and was intended to feature on her debut solo album. It eventually reached Number 1 here in the UK and a remix of the song featuring numerous rappers was later released. Rock That Body features another female singer in an unusual style of voice, this time Fergie is represented through Auto-Tune. I’m not a fan of heavy Auto-Tune but I still love Rock That Body, although I suppose I’m not surprised at its position here. The first proper single from The Dutchess features next which did considerably better in the US than in the UK. I’m disappointed it's the lowest of her singles from the album as, to be specific, it’s her third best single from it. Guetta refused the Black Eyed Peas to record Gettin’ Over You for The E.N.D and when it was re-recorded to feature Fergie, will.i.am was also set to feature but LMFAO took his place. It was a Number 1 for all the artists involved and I initially loved it on release but have gone off over time.

So, these are the songs that are left in the Top 20:

Bang Bang

Beep (The Pussycat Dolls feat will.i.am)

Big Girls Don't Cry

Boom Boom Pow

Don't Lie

Don't Phunk With My Heart

Fall Down (feat Miley Cyrus)

Fergalicious (feat will.i.am)

Glamorous (feat Ludacris)

Hey Mama

Just Can't Get Enough

Labels or Love

Let's Get it Started

London Bridge

Meet Me Halfway

My Humps

Pump It

Shut Up

This Is Love (feat Eva Simmons)

Where is the Love?

That means that no singles from Elephunk or Monkey Business have yet to feature and we still have 5 Fergie singles to go while will.i.am only has 3 solo singles left even though he has more singles overall.

I didn't realise Clumsy only peaked at #62 in the UK :o Thought it was a ~#27 smash hit

My initial top 5 predictions:

01 Meet Me Halfway

02 Where Is the Love?

03 Big Girls Don't Cry

04 Just Can't Get Enough

05 Don't Phunk With My Heart

Boom Boom Pow and My Humps I think will miss the top 5 as they're very love/hate :(

'Clumsy' deserved better both in this AND as a chart hit in the UK. :( Also, I think people are too harsh on 'I Gotta Feeling'. It's one of the biggest, most anthemic sounding songs we've heard in absolutely ages, imo. It's brilliant.

What I'd LIKE:

01. Big Girls Don't Cry

02. Where is the Love?

03. Boom Boom Pow

04. London Bridge

05. Glamorous (feat Ludacris)

06. Beep (The Pussycat Dolls feat will.i.am)

07. Don't Lie

08. Shut Up

09. Don't Phunk With My Heart

10. My Humps

---

11. Fall Down (feat Miley Cyrus)

12. Fergalicious (feat will.i.am)

13. Labels or Love

14. This Is Love (feat Eva Simmons)

15. Pump It

16. Bang Bang

17. Meet Me Halfway

18. Just Can't Get Enough

19. Let's Get it Started

20. Hey Mama

I wouldn't mind anything in the top 10 winning. They're all "signature hits"/the classics. As long as it's not 'Meet Me Halfway', which (whilst good) is stupidly overrated! That's a pretty awesome top 20 overall though. All deserving, bar maybe 'Fall Down' which shouldn't be there just yet, imo. I'd gladly replace that with either IGAF or 'Clumsy'. But I'm not mad as it's a good song.

The next position doesn’t represent many voters opinions but you all had your chance to vote! Labels or Love was recorded for the Sex and the City movie and was included on the deluxe edition of her album. It actually samples part of the show’s theme tune. Next up is Fergie’s debut solo single and my favourite from her. It’s been compared by many music critic’s to Gwen Stefani’s Hollaback Girl and I can see the similarities. It was a huge success for her and managed to top the US charts. *ORIGINAL JOKE ALERT* Next up we have Die Young, sorry Fall Down. :basil: The similarities are clear and the song was released as a promo single for will.i.am’s latest solo album. It will become the next single later in the year but has already faired quite well in both charts for a promo single. It will inevitably smash in the upcoming months especially after the success of We Can’t Stop. I find the song pretty throwaway anyway but it still makes it better than most of will.i.am’s singles.

So the least liked single from Elephunk is Hey Mama, the album still has three more singles to come while Monkey Business still has all four of its singles remaining. It was the first song to feature in the infamous(?) advert for the iPod and was used heavily in Garfield: The Movie. I think this is a pretty fair position for the song as the other singles from Elephunk are more superior. It just gets beaten by This Is Love though here by 0.003. This Is Love seemed to arrive in a world of hype, mainly from will.i.am himself, and premiered while he was a judge of the Voice UK’s first series. The hype propelled the song to Number One but, imo, seems to be fairly forgotten only one year on. It thankfully managed to block Don’t Wake Me Up from becoming the 1200th number one single though, achieving the accomplishment itself. The music video is an ode to will.i.am’s love for the UK which has since led him to move his label over here. The US must have been bitter to all this love will.i.am was giving the UK as it only peaked at 10 on the Bubbling Under Chart. Fergalicious is the second single from Fergie and features someone called will.i.am. It carries on the hip-hop sound of London Bridge but wasn’t a huge success over here. It has been compared to My Humps which is another comparison that I agree with.

Bang Bang is the highest placed will.i.am solo single and is the most recent song to be included in the list, therefore it may have benefited from that. It would be interesting to see if it would have been lower, or higher, a few months down the line. It was recorded for The Great Gatsby soundtrack and was boosted into the UK Top 3 after being ‘sang’ on the Voice UK by will.i.am in a duet with, should have been the winner, Leah McFall. It has been rumoured that their version will be released but there are currently no signs of this. It fairs better here than Fergie’s attempt for the Gatsby soundtrack and there was little dislike for the song, allowing it a fairly high position.

I’m surprised at how high My Humps got in this as I thought there would be more hate for it. The opposite occurred though and there is a lot of love Fergie’s ‘lovely little lumps’. The critics obviously LOVED the lyrics which includes the very clever ‘mix your milk wit my cocoa puff/ milky, milky cocoa, mix your milk with my cocoa puff, milky, milky riiiiight.’ Wikipedia says that will.i.am initially wrote the song for The Pussycat Dolls but he gave them the similarly suggestive Beep. I’m not saying they were the most credible group before but I think this was the main point where the group started to be seen by some as having a bad impact on music. It’s also the least liked single from Monkey Business which is the correct decision :D.

The first time I listened to Monkey Business, I knew that Pump It had to be a single. It borrows a lot from Dick Dale’s Misirlou after will.i.am heard the song on Brazil. I think it featured in a Pepsi advert at the time which may have helped with it's chart position. Even though it’s my second favourite single from the group, I know that it’s not the most remembered single and so I think it finished in a respectable position, with my favourite single is still to come.

Edited by Rabbit Heart

'Hey Mama'

'I Gotta Feeling' flopping? I thought it would end up in the top 5 :o

'Shut Up' or 'Big Girls Don't Cry' to win!

Great to see My Humps do well! :D

Fergalicious wasn't released as a single in the UK, which is why it didn't do well. I read on here somewhere that it actually did well on iTunes (from the music video release), but since it wasn't a single it had no physical, so was ineligible to chart at the time (or something like that?).

Bang Bang seems to be one of the least dividing songs. The rest have 11s, 10s, 0s and -1s, but Bang Bang didn't get so many extreme scores.
