Tom Odell surely, he seems to be getting quite a big push so will no doubt pick up a nod/

Would love to see Johnny Marr, Bat for Lashes, Foals, Savages, Public Service Broadcasting, Laura Mvula, James Blake, Disclosure and David Bowie nominated.

They often nominate a rap album but I can't really think of any that could be nominated this year.

SevenSeize's list looks about right if you add Laura Mvula. I'm unsure on whether they will nominate Disclosure though.

Disclosure will probably get the dance nod over Rudimental. When you throw in the obligatory jazz and folk nominees then someone big is likely to miss out, I think they might snub Bowie.

Some other potentials ~

Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest (DARK HORSE.)

Villagers - {Awayland}

I Am Kloot - Let It All In

Bonobo - The North Borders

Rudimental - Home

'Let It All In' is a decent shout, their last album was nominated and critics have been just as favourable.

I'd love it if Public Service Broadcasting were nominated, it's certainly the type of thing they quite like.

The Deserters by Rachel Zeffira would be a great nomination and would probably "tick enough boxes" to justify its inclusion.

Would also like to see Steve Mason and f*** Buttons on the list, but it'll be the usual bunch of flash in the pan debuts.

Another vote for Public Service Broadcasting. I think Jake Bugg seems like one of the more obvious choices this year. Which could hurt his chances. Everything Everything on there would be nice as well.

F**k Buttons would be amazing, but I can't see it.

Indeed, Tarot Sport was the one they should have included anyway. Short-sighted.

I'd like to see the Arctic Monkeys missed off for a change. The debut was a real breath of fresh air, the second wasn't bad, but they're just established and not that exciting now.

Unless, of course, the new album turns out to be another breath of fresh air!

I'd like to see Bowie and Savages on the list for certain.

Heehe and I love the fact that it has better odds than the Stereophonics!

These New Puritans or King Krule for the win

That makes sense though - most albums released last year deserve better odds than the Stereophonics!

I'm really pleased Steve Mason looks a cert for nomination - and, if I were a betting man, that's where my fiver would be going.

Who is even bothering to offer odds for Bullet? It'd be typically Mercury if their least successful (and worst) album were the first to be nominated.

I'd guess either Foals or Disclosure.
