Entering the TV Airplay chart at #38 is quite disappointing on it's second week.

 

' What About Us ' was 19 with the following week jumping to 07.

' Gentleman ' was 20.

There's a difference though...

 

'What About Us' was the start of "new Saturdays", 1st single in 7 months or however long it was.

'Gentleman' was the anticipated follow up to the huge number 1 WAU.

'Disco Love' is the follow up to the huge flop 'Gentleman', so they have to basically work from scratch again.

 

It'll be bigger than 'Gentleman'. I'm pretty sure of that. The worst to expect (imo) is it "doing a '30 Days'".

Youtube views are yet to reach 1M

It's doing so well in Ireland isn't it? Been top 200 on pre orders since day 1 and got to #80 yesterday morning!

Radio 1 haven't even playlisted this yet, it's a bit soon to start worrying.

 

Hopefully they do this coming Wednesday.

I don't think I've ever seen an actual (recent) hit song that didn't have LOTS of Youtube views, though. Songs that do "well" in the charts (I'm not even talking about 600k+ selling singles, I'm actually just talking about What About Us sized hit) usually do really well on Youtube too.

 

I wouldn't be that concerned about it either for now.

No, there's no pint. Views come if the single does well. Gentlemen may have gotten 1m in a week, but has only gotten 2.5 after that. It depends on the singles success too. I'm not worried so... #255 on amazon chart the album is :)

I don't think the song will do that well. It'll do better than 'Gentleman' obviously but probably just on a 30 Days type level.

 

The song just isn't good enough to launch an album. When radio are still hammering 'What About Us' which was released in Marrch you know you have a problem.

Whenever I see your messages all I see is very negative respense. Yes, they havent gotten into the airplay chart but if yku hav3nt noticed yet, it IS getting airplay. I hate it when people are pessimistic about everything.

Just seen 'Disco Love' on 4Music and it was introduced as the VIP track of the week! So looks like that will get the video quite a lot more video airplay this week! :D

Well it's already picking up on the (unofficial) rolling TV airplay chart. Now #31 :)

It's Wednesday, so we'll see if Disco Love get playlisted by Radio 1. Fingers crossed, although I'm sure they won't.

Well, seems like Radio 1 aren't exactly keen on the idea of updating their playlist today.
