September 12, 201311 yr It's all connected, though, so why are you surprised? No airplay means no pre-orders/sales. I just hope they can manage to hype things up. At least for the album!
September 12, 201311 yr I don't think it's that ridiculous. Actually, it would have been really surprising to see them not screw things up. They are The Saturdays, obviously they had to f*ck things up. I know, I remember saying at the time that they'd probably make a wrong move next as usual and they did it in spectacular fashion. I do like the girls and want them to succeed though, it's like they've had infinite chances that they've blown every time they start to get somewhere.
September 12, 201311 yr I find it extremely irritating that none of girls hype up releases on their Twitter accounts! I mean couldn't they tweet more often about the release or even the album! 'I hope you've all pre-ordered your albums' etc etc.. Or post teasers etc... It's almost as If they don't care and I'm pretty sure that when a songs released usually whoever runs The Saturday's twitter just accesses their accounts and retweets the release link. Grrr makes me so mad!
September 13, 201311 yr I'm actually shocked at how badly this is doing on pre-orders.Jesus. You're just a permanently broken, negative record aren't you? :manson: EVERY post you make in here isn't anything good or positive, at all. I don't care about people looking at situations "objectively" or looking at the possibilities of it "being likely to flop" or whatever, but I don't think I've made any connection with you posting anything remotely positive. It's like you're determined to be the annoying "oh look at me I "LOVE" The Saturdays but I can be objective!!!!!1!!" fan. It's getting tedious and repetitive now. Fair enough people are worrying about it now, but that's because they've had time to think this will be a flop and time is almost up for them to get some proper support from the main stations (next week is the week I'm going to get worried for them). But you've been like 3 weeks ahead of everyone else. You've been "worrying" about it when there really wasn't any need to at all. I'm sorry, I'm sure you're a nice guy, but I'm getting bored of it. It's just your posts I have the issue with (so it's not me being "a delusional Saturdays fan" and can't see any objectivity or whatever. The reason I'm saying this is because it happens all the time and it's one of the reasons as to why I (and I'm sure others) try to avoid posting in here.
September 13, 201311 yr Exactly! It's just irritating that everything they do is a negative. You even found WBU as a negative as it hasn't passed 400k yet. It annoys the hell out of me that as a sats fan you'd be able to criticise them 24/7
September 13, 201311 yr Rochelle Tweeted promo starts soon..I really hope the promo is spread out, rather than piling it all on the release week.

How am I ANY different to the other people on here talking about airplay and pre-orders? Lee Wallace for example? Have I ever called them a flop? Do I ever sit and say they'll get dropped or split up like so many other people do? With the last three releases I've been very fair with my comments (I did nothing but praise What About Us as a song and video and still go on about how great it's sales were, I've always said I appreciated Gentleman as a single because it showed the girls took a risk and it could potentially have been amazing with the only negatives being the video and the production and I've said numerous times that Disco Love is a nice fun song with a fun video but just isn't good enough) yet the minute I say anything regarding their commercial performance it gets twisted on me. So apparently even though I do nothing but praise them as a band and their amazing songs, it doesn't matter because I'm an annoying stan who wants attention by just commenting on their airplay and pre-orders? In fact, didn't I say only a few days ago that Capital are supporting this and it's getting good TV airplay? I think I did. You need to calm down. If I want to post their airplay and pre-order information and say it's dissapointing then I will, because it's a forum and we're discussing the single. Am I lying in saying it's dissapointing? No. It's like you just want everyone to act like a robot on here and just come out with the generic "it's too early" comments all the time. Fact is by this stage in the campaign you get an idea of how the song is going to perform and if it's not looking good then I've got every right to say that. Does me saying it's performing badly equate to me saying they'll split up or be dropped or miss the top 20? No. Christ. Absolutely hilarious I get jumped on all the time for anything yet others can come in here and whinge about how it'll miss the top 20 and how they're going to split/be dropped and nobody says anything to them. edit - just look at the previous page for example. Someone said they're snubbed by Radio 1 just because they haven't been added to the playlist yet. Did they get jumped on? No. Someone said it looks like this will miss the top 15. Did they get jumped on? Someone said this campaign is f***ed up and someone replied saying "it's The Saturdays of course they f***ed up". Did they get jumped on? No. I Edited September 13, 201311 yr by shadow2009
September 13, 201311 yr I've never met a group of people that get so heated over a pop group. (A fantabulous pop group at that!!)

You also need to calm down first as that kinda language isnt exactly a calm person speaking. You do talk 80% negative the majority of the time. Are you also the shadow2013 on popjustice cause some of them even picked up on him/her on that forum too for being negative. From one of the members. 'Shadow, I don't want this to sound nasty or anything because its not intended to be, but can't you just enjoy the music right now? Every post on this page from you is "their airplay is low" "YouTube numbers are low" "TV play isn't doing too good". I know it's frustrating sometimes but there is time, and you have to have a little faith.' It's not just this forum if this is you as well. Other people I've seen have a good and bad points to share, which I'd recommend anyone should do in order to not be told off. It gets you on people's good sides. A lot of people who have commented other stuff are either just making a one off comment or joking about it. It hasn't been From a sats fan. Jonjos been on this forum for a while now and I ca see why all this negativity (not just you) is making him angry. Being snubbed on radio one is a fact cause they have this week. They never said they'll not get on the week after. Are you lying to say its disappointing? If it were after WBu then yeah but when gentleman hadn't even cracked the top 300 airplay at this time and for disco love to get #77 (#111 on official according to digital spy forum), there is no reason to say its disappointing cause it isn't. Try and be a bit more 'they've done so well in comparison... But I'm still worried' and give a mixture of good and bad rather than 'disappointing really..' :) Jsg2013, your comment made me chuckle haha Edited September 13, 201311 yr by vivek

September 14, 201311 yr someone replied saying "it's The Saturdays of course they f***ed up". Did they get jumped on? No. I Someone? GUUUURL YOU KNOW MY NAME. I agree with Shadow and I have to admit there's nothing wrong with his post or the tone of it... I just don't understand the need to be unnecessary positive? If it does well on iTunes - like What About Us did - then we'll be positive. If it flops on iTunes like Gentleman, we'll be negative because we have a reason to be. How is that any more wrong than what you do? In my opinion, being rightfully positive would be to be happy that Disco Love is actually a very good song, that Mollie and Vanessa sounds lush on it, that the video is cute, fun, that the cover is original, etc. Saying #111 on airplay is good because it's better than what Gentleman did at the time is not being rightfully positive. There's definitely a pattern repeating itself. You can hide from it, but I prefer to confront it. "Low youtube views, low radio airplay, good tv airplay, no hype". It's exactly like Gentleman (I'm gonna sound super rude, but are we really supposed to be happy because #111 is less shitty than #303? Both are really disappointing positions. I suppose that "shitty food" is better than "no food", indeed, but come on! -_- ) Does it mean for sure that it will flop? No, not at all. Did we say it would? No, I don't think so. Why couldn't they somehow get a huge slot or do something that will make the headline? :P It might happen ...and it might not. We're just preparing ourselves (and you guys too) if there's an eventual deception. If there's none, we will just be glad we were totally wrong. How is that bad of us (I'm actually asking for real)? Oh, and airplay could totally pick up. Why not, afterall? But for now, this is not building for something good just like Gentleman wasn't either and while you can't see it, well we can (no pretention!). I just don't understand you guys, without meaning to be mean.,, Why is it so hard for you guys to see a similar pattern between this release and their last one (it's just a few months old!), yet you somehow all believe that a GH from The Saturdays would do what it did for Girls Aloud seven years ago? You're actually believing that a girlgroup can release a GH (that's basically the only pattern) and it would be a career-saver just like "The Sound of Girls Aloud" was, but you found it hard to believe that Disco Love could do another Gentleman? I - personally - love Disco Love and it was just down to me, it would be #1 for 52 weeks until Not Giving Up takes over.
September 14, 201311 yr Up another 3 spots to #22 on Rolling TV Airplay today. Up 19 spots in the past 5 days :) Glad to see this is finally picking up there. It will hopefully be Top 10 before we know it. As far as airplay, I hate that we have no idea where this is right now. I really hope it enters the Top 100 soon if it hasn't already. My hope is that this makes Top 5 on TV Airplay by release week and Top 30 on airplay. Then if they promote it enough and people like what they hear on iTunes, it will chart high on the official chart and radio stations will jump on it. Don't forget that WAU was only #23 prior to release week and peaked in airplay weeks later. Also, I don't know if anyone has really been paying attention to the reviews the song has been getting but I have yet to find a negative one. If nothing else this will end up being one of their more critically acclaimed singles. I'm holding onto hope for this one guys. I know not to rule the Sats out this early on because if there's one thing that history has shown us, it's that you can't predict $*!@ when it comes to The Saturdays! ^_^ Edited September 14, 201311 yr by LoveKiller
September 14, 201311 yr TV Airplay is definitely on the right track, it should keep climbing until the official release. It's all about next week, really.

Yeah it is something to be happy about considering there are 4 weeks till release. #111 is much better than #303 (non-existent airplay). No ones hidden from it cause some of us are happy about the fact that it hasn't been come rely snubbed and its weird to see how you can't understand that? There's no saying you have to be overly positive but continuously saying 'its disappointing' doesn't help either. There are more factors involved in whats happened than just 'no hype,no promotion'. To say this was released after a flop kinda says it all in reality. I believe in a GH!? Where'd you get that from? It's a horrible idea and just tells the world that they're wanting to separate :/ Being negative 80% of the time and then making a one off 'good' remark isn't something people like. I agree with your message in between your (if you want to call it that) 'rude' message. You didn't just say all the negatives, you said a lot of positives as well, but with some people on the chat, it's very negative. Popjustice are very happy and joke-y around this subject and do criticise it as well. But here, it's just overly negative which kinda takes the fun out of discussions...
