It was so obviously mimed... I didn't think it was a great performance at all tbh.

I thought it was brilliant and didn't even notice they were miming.

I liked it, it was their first big dance performance since Notorious on SYTYCD, not as good as it, but still great :)

They are really nice...Una's and Vanessa's would look great on an individual cover, in the style of On Your Radar. I don't really like Frankie's and Rochelle's though.

They also have to do promos @ diff European countries considering Europe as extension of UK....think conor did a performance in sofia. His vid - r u crazy, was released a day after DL was launched, on Vevo, he has got 2m+ viewz now, whereas, DL is yet to reach 1M.

Did anyone notice DLs wiki link, which is Directing to LFTWs page. There is not a wiki page yet for DL! I guess they are intentionally doin it to promote the album @ this stage.

I'm slightly worried about the promo being this early, I mean it's great to get a Saturday primetime slot, but is Stepping Out the biggest show they could get, that they haven't yet done.

There's nothing to worry about. They performed All Fired Up somewhere in July while the release was in September! This is much more closer to the release than it was with AFU.

Their live performances have been doing nothing for me lately. First and foremost, miming irritates me. And even with mimed vocals it sounded.. weird. Mollie sounded like she was on helium. I was also missing Frankie even though she has no vocals on the song.

 

I don't know, to me the song just didn't translate well live. It felt like a really vacant performance. And I realize that people lose baby weight at different speeds but I don't think Rochelle is even trying, she said herself that she's in no rush to lose it.

 

On a side note, did the opening portion of the performance give anyone else PCD vibes? I thought they were about to start stripping as the "radio" switched over to Buttons.

I wish they would cover Buttons and release it as a single, tbh.

This song just isn't good enough to launch an album. I loved the performance but I just don't have an interest in the song at all. The song is just basically a long chorus with a few lines in between. They literally do the "in the air, chemistry in here, love in the air" lines then about 20 seconds later they're doing them again. It's just a bit of a drag and there's no spark or edge to the song, it's just camp, girly, cheesy pop in the most safe and inoffensive way possible.

Missing You still managed to properly launch Headlines! even though it was shit, so we'll see how Disco Love will do for them. I'm still waiting to see if they have climbed on the airplay charts.

I think the song is good enough to launch the album but it is indeed very safe. I guess I'd prefer that over taking risks like Gentleman though.

 

It's got to be entering the airplay Top 40 soon now that Radio 1 is supporting. It's kind of stalled on TV airplay at the moment.

 

Could you imagine a Buttons cover though? It would be so wrong yet so right. They are so far from sexual so I imagine it'd end up being quite cringe worthy.

Vocally, it would be soooooooo right. It fits their ranges so well. It wouldn't go down well with their fanbase, though, I reckon.
