(The Wanted - We Own the Night is also set for Aug 11, but AS IF it's actually gonna be released OA/OS)

Didn't know that Lose Yourself to Dance was the next single from Daft Punk. Terrible choice.
Didn't know that Lose Yourself to Dance was the next single from Daft Punk. Terrible choice.

Yeah it probably won't do anything chart-wise (and will still be overshadowed by Get Lucky, much like what happened with Bastille's 'Laura Palmer'). Give Life Back to Music would be a good choice for the next single, if they release one.

4th August

I'm really dreading Miley Cyrus getting a #1 that week, hopefully Tine Tempah can brush her aside with Trampoline which seems the better track of the two. Calvin Harris probably miss the top 10 completely this time round, its a good single but his album has been milked to death.

11th August

I'm hoping Lana and Rudimental do well, not too sure about Daft Punk's new one I think it be overshadowed with the success of Get Lucky.

18th August

Disclosure, Klangkarussell (ft. Will Heard), Naughty Boy/ Emeli Sande, Ellie Goulding, Lady Gaga (could get pushed around) all fighting for a top 10 position that week, that will be a bloodbath.

25th August

Olly Murs with his 4th single from the album which could easily miss the top 10, none of the other releases are strong enough for a #1 that week.

4th August

TOP 75 - Brookes Brothers ft. Chrom3 - Carry Me On

TOP 10 - Calvin Harris ft. Ayah Marar – Thinking About You

TOP 40 - Imagine Dragons – Its Time

#1 - Miley Cyrus – We Can’t Stop

#3 - Tinie Tempah ft. 2 Chainz - Trampoline

Miley, Avicii and Tinie will make up the top 3. I can't see Imagine Dragons outpeaking #40, It's Time is really flopping. They should've released On Top Of the World as it's more popular, but I can't see that doing anything now they've left it too late. Calvin will get another top 10, but can't see it going top 5.

11th August

TOP 75 - Axwell – Center Of The Universe

TOP 200 - Baby Blue - Bump

TOP 75 - Daft Punk – Lose Yourself To Dance

TOP 75 - DJ Fresh VS Diplo ft. Dominique Young Unique - Earthquake

TOP 40 - Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness (Remix)

TOP 75 - Ray Foxx ft. Rachel K Collier - Boom Boom (Heartbeat)

TOP 40 - Rudimental ft. Foxes – Right Here

??? - The Vaccines - Melody Calling

Not sure if The Vaccines single is new or from their current album so I've left it. Right Here isn't doing anything even with the video out, hopefully it goes top 40 though. Get Lucky will overshadow the new one. The release of the LDR track has messed up its chances of doing well, either make the 7 minute versions album only or just release the radio edit now! Haven't seen much hype for the DJ Fresh track so I think that may miss the top 40 unless radio 1 give it a proper push.

18th August

TOP 20 - Disclosure - F For You

TOP 5 - Ellie Goulding – Burn

TOP 75 - Franz Ferdinand - Right Action

#1 - Lady Gaga – TBA

TOP 10 - Klangkarussell (ft. Will Heard) - Sonnentanz

FLOP - Miguel – Adorn

TOP 5 - Naughty Boy ft. Emeli Sande – Lifted

TOP 40 - Sean Paul - Other Side Of Love

TOP 40 - Wretch 32 feat Jacob Banks – Doing OK

TOP 75 - Tich – Obsession

Lady GaGa should get #1 as long as they don't fuck up the release like BTW, I can't see Miley holding #1 for a 3rd week. Naughty Boy and Ellie will go top 5. Disclosure should eventually go top 20 I think, but maybe not this soon.

25th August

TOP 75 - The 1975 – Sex

TOP 20 - Atumpan - The Thing

TOP 75 - Bastille - Things We Lost in the Fire

TOP 100 - Kodaline - Brand New Day

TOP 100 - Mausi - Move

TOP 20 - Olly Murs – Right Place Right Time

TOP 20 - Rizzle Kicks – Lost Generation

Olly is on fire this era, the new one should easily be another big top 20 hit. The new Rizzle Kicks song doesn't sound like a hit, I predict it will only last a few weeks top 40. Bastille will flop yet again. Mausi deserves top 40 but it sounds too good to be true. Provided that Atumpan gets R1 support he should at least 'do a Stylo G'.

4th August

Tinie Tempah ft. 2 Chainz - Trampoline

11th August

DJ Fresh VS Diplo ft. Dominique Young Unique - Earthquake

18th August

Miguel – Adorn

25th August

Atumpan - The Thing

These are the songs I'd like to be #1 each week. I know it won't happen though. I never realized Adorn was on the release schedule! :o Why did nobody tell me? Not sure if it'll even go top 100 though, but it's had a resurgence on iTunes recently somehow.

There's a new single mix featuring Jessie Ware which I assume will be released on it's impact date. I've heard it on the radio a few times so hopefully it can at least do something but I doubt it :( Really growing to love it recently!

Either that or Instant Crush.

I would've chosen Instant Crush as well.

Yeah, I love the Jessie Ware version. Do you remember which stations you heard it on?

I've got a feeling that the remix of Summertime Sadness could do surprisingly well with it being released similarly to Spectrum - obviously nowhere near the same scale but still exceeding expectations.

4th August

I think it's safe to say Miley Cyrus will get her first UK number one, beating Avicii to second place, the pre order is top 60 already and will climb into the top 40 soon. If anything had to replace Avicii I'd rather see Tinie Tempah do it but its been delayed too long I think OA/OS would have worked for him. Calvin Harris will probably miss the top 10 but could get up to number 12 I reckon:

1 - Miley Cyrus

2 - Avicii

3 - Tinie Tempah

11th August

Lana Del Ray for number 1!!!!!!!! Or maybe not

Nothing jumps out as being a potential chart topper so probably a second week for Miley, but I'd love to see Rudimental, Lana and Axwell all get into the top 40!

Daft Punk could go top 40 but given the album hasn't sold as well as I was expecting I could see it missing the chart altogether just like Bastille.

18th August

I think this will be a huge week for new releases!!

Ellie Goulding or Naughty Boy should be number 1 but they'll easily go top 5 I reckon with Klangkarussell somewhere in the top 10 because its great! Lady Gaga seems to be everyone's favourite for an OA/OS release but I'm not sure, BTW couldn't get to number one despite the hype so I think I'll reserve judgement until I hear the track but it will be a big top 10!!!

Disclosure will probably get top 40 and Franz Ferdinand top 30 but they should be able to go top 20!!

This is going to be an epic week!!

August 25th

Very quiet week, I think Rizzle Kicks will go top 10 but this would be a great week for Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan to bring the release of Flatlines forward to give them a chance of getting to number 1, in my dreams haha!

Olly Murs could go top 20 but I think top 30 will be more likely!

I do wonder if we'll get any big comebacks in the month as there isn't much competition apart from two big weeks

I've got a feeling that the remix of Summertime Sadness could do surprisingly well with it being released similarly to Spectrum - obviously nowhere near the same scale but still exceeding expectations.

It has just been released now. Mess. I think 'Summertime Sadness' might be lucky to even go top 40, but we'll see how the remix radio edit does I guess.

Either that or Instant Crush.

I think all the single choices mentioned are good ones, but I doubt anything they release from the album will do anything chart-wise (except help sell the album which I guess would be the intention anyway!)

4th August

Calvin Harris ft. Ayah Marar – Thinking About You - Finally making some progress. Can't see 'the release'/EP having much impact on the peak though; so I'm going to say #12/13 (though I'm hoping it can be another T10 in this quiet climate).

Imagine Dragons – Its Time - People seem to think it's 'underperforming', but for a rock band (though mainstream-sounding), they're doing fine. Unsure whether it'll outpeak #40, so predicting #46/47 this time around.

Miley Cyrus – We Can’t Stop - I wasn't sure at first, but this track has started to sound huge; I'm hearing it everywhere. Guess it would be quite nice to have it at #1, either way she's blown her 'non-T10' streak out of the park for sure.

Tinie Tempah ft. 2 Chainz - Trampoline - A marmite track, but T5 should be on the cards thanks to Tinie's fanbase/the general demand for new music from Tempah. A likely T2 will have Avicii and Miley, though One Direction could easily grab some boosts to ensure they keep Tinie out of the T3.

11th August

Daft Punk – Lose Yourself To Dance - As far as I'm aware, Daft Punk are releasing a 'Get Lucky' remix next; so not sure where this second single has come from. I think they'll leave it a while longer to push any other track from the album. Could go T40 with radio support though, should this actually be released on 11 August.

DJ Fresh VS Diplo ft. Dominique Young Unique - Earthquake - Sounds bigger than it'll be. At best, I'd say #24-30; but I'm going to predict it'll miss the T40 - peaking at around #47.

Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness (Remix) - Any interest in this remix is long gone I'd say. I'll wait and see whether the airplay/now released radio edit does much; but I'm not holding my breath for T40. Deserves to be a hit though.

Rudimental ft. Foxes – Right Here - Not doing much at the moment, but I for one am holding out for the radio edit to be released. While I can't see it being another #14 peaking track to complete the peaks of 01-14-01; I think it could be a T30/T40 hit in a few weeks time.

The Vaccines - Melody Calling - The EP'll get fanbase sales, which should be enough to sneak it into the T40; especially given the last of new releases in August. I'm predicting #31.

18th August

Disclosure - F For You - It's started to make progress, so I think T40 (possibly #33) is possible once R1 get behind it.

Ellie Goulding – Burn - People are actually predicting T5 for this? Wow. Not as immediate as the material from 'Halcyon' and significantly weaker than "You My Everything" (which I'm really enjoying at the moment). I'm getting T10 vibes from it definitely, but more #7-8, with the fanbase surely looking to buy the album re-release instead?

Lady Gaga – TBA - Could well reach #1 unless something else crops up. I think Gaga will have learnt from the mistakes from the last era and really deliver with this comeback track; I'm hopeful of that anyway.

Naughty Boy ft. Emeli Sande – Lifted - 'Safe' choice and "La La La" is still in the T10. Hoping the radio stations can get behind it, but I fear they'll be pre-occupied with the Sam Smith collaboration. Getting a T20 feel from it, #18-19; though it deserves to reach T10.

Wretch 32 feat Jacob Banks – Doing OK - Won't do as well as "Blackout", so predicting T20 (#15-16). Think Wretch really needs to deliver with single #3, I'm talking a big collaboration (or producer, Rudimental as credited producers?)

25th August

Bastille - Things We Lost in the Fire - This sounded huge the first time I heard it, but there's just no real hype around Bastille now that "Pompeii" has been and gone. Should generate some sales at least during the festival season, I think it'll manage T40 somehow; predicting #38.

Kodaline - Brand New Day - The group's singles thus far (bar "All I Want") have been 'high' peaking due to EP sales; so I can't see a post-album single doing too well. Should give them another T100 hit at least, I'm predicting somewhere in the #70s.

Olly Murs – Right Place Right Time - "Dear Darlin'" seemed to have picked up already, so can't see this being another 'hit'. I'd say T40 is likely though, given that the radio stations will be picking it up. Hopefully it won't do a "Busy" though and miss out.

Rizzle Kicks – Lost Generation - Yet to hear it, but going by reviews it's not as commercial as the likes of "Mama Do the Hump". I'd argue there's a demand for new material from the duo, but I don't think there's enough for THIS pre-album single to reach T10.

Argh, wrote more than I realised. Ah well.
