It sure as hell wasn't the music, so by process of elimination I'd say you're right :P

One of the first that springs to mind is 'Shark In The Water' by VV Brown. It was so catchy and summery, it really should have become her big breakout hit but instead limped in at #34 :(

Jordin Sparks - Battlefield. It literally sounds timeless to me, a definite #1 and a song tht would eventually trickle sell a million. Awkward #11 peak position. I still hope for a resurgence after a successful X Factor audition!
