On the 27 July 2008 'If This Is Love' was released as the girls first ever single! 5 years on, do you feel it is a pop anthem? Or an easily forgettable 'hit'?

 

I can't believe this was released 5 years ago, it seems like such a long time ago! I personally Love it still and is one of my all time favs!

Forgettable as the day I first heard it. Praise Jesus for Up!

I loved it at the time, but I always forget about it because they've surprassed it so many times since.

 

'Up' was in a whole league of its own and overshadowed it when that leaked, still remains my favourite today.

 

I really didn't expect them to still be here/relevant 5 years down the line though so fair play to them.

I did rank it as their very worst for basically their entire existence until Gentlemen came along and snatched that 'crown' away from it.

 

The sample was used to much better effect by Heidi Montag and really THAT says it all.

Easily one of their weakest singles, and perhaps songs altogether, but I do still like it a fair bit. And I can still remember the first time I heard it, christ on a bike FIVE YEARS :o

Obviously forgotten a bit now but I liked it when it first came out. I Remember it peaked at 2 on my personal chart then too :)

Still one of my favourites!

Can listen to it any time.....love it ;)

If This Is Love is one of their best and I won't respect anyone who puts Missing You or Just Can't Get Enough over it. :puke2:

and it's funny how i discovered them

lindsay lohan was supposed to release her lead single off her 3rd album named Playground (feat. Pharell) and when it "leaked" it was if this is love from first chorus till themiddle 8, and vanessa's voice in that verse is similar to LiLo's so i loved that minute and half for few weeks and then i got home from vacation and heard if this is love on radio and i was shocked because i still thought it was playground so i wondered how radio has full song when it's not on youtube, so next few days i was all over radio trying to record it and then i got my internet back and i search it and found out it was them, so i downloaded it, loved it and then few weeks later i heard up for the first time on radio and i knew it was them and i got so obsessed with that song and still am...

I loved if this is love. Still so. In my top 5 defo.

I still remember the commercials advertising the band, funnily enough my sister wasn't able to recognize Frankie but could Rochelle. Such a Quen.

 

It also took me quite a while to click with the song, around 3 years lol. But yes Vanessa's adlibing at the end is absolutely incredible.

It's in my top 10 on plays not top 5 however it's 2nd favourite from Chasing Lights after Work.
