Yeah...expecting to see an explosion from the Lana "loons" (that I didn't know we actually had) once it reaches top 10

Really does NOT deserve to outpeak Video Games, but there you go

Get ready for that explosion it's gonna be a big one!!!

I'm predicting top 10 by 8/9pm then number one by tomorrow night...I wish!!!

It's realistically the only chance we'll get of Lana getting a really massive hit (well maybe until her next album, but I won't hold my breath on that). Its pretty much just a standard remix though and not a touch on her other singles, lets just pretend its the original doing this well, shouldn't be too hard in all fairness :D

I get the feeling this'll be like the John Newman looning, except this time stretched over a whole week

I certainly do like the original, i'll give it that (Video Games is still her best by far though, obviously)

Not sure how her comeback single/album will do, but seeing as Summertime Sadness is likely to be a big hit, that'll probably help somewhat

I do really like the remix but the original is my favourite Lana song so it's not anywhere near as good as the original (or Born To Die or Video Games for that matter). It's a shame it took a dance remix for her to get another big hit but I'm happy for her either way.
'Ooh La La' hasn't done well anywhere, not even in the USA where she was still easily going to #1 on iTunes with all her new releases until now. It was never going to do well here.

Lana coming for that top 10, woo.

Good. I'd rather the general public not remember that hot mess of a song. I mean it's cute, but I get second hand embarrassment when I hear it on the radio.

John Newmannnnn! Lana del Reeeey!

I will loon for both!

I hope it's like the Newman looning, it's only deserved for an icon like Lana!

Yup, I didn't realise there were so many other Lana loons here too!

It doesn't deserve to outpeak Video Games/ Born to Die, the crown jewels of her music, BUT like the other said it's realistically our only chance of a huge Lana hit so let's get behind it!

With all the discussion of Lana, I'm going to take this opportunity and plug the Lana rate results currently going on in Indie, 'Alternative and Specialist Forum'. Will be revealing some of the top 10 soon!

What do you consider a huge hit then? And even if this out-peaks Video Games and Born To Die, it might not outsell them, especially Video Games.

Voting's closed :( Missed it.

I mean like a massive, top-5/3 hit with 400/500k sales hopefully.

That awwkard moment when everyone gets excited that Britney Spears is nearly top 50. Shouldn't she be Top 10?

No, the song is recorded for kids not for general public.

Video Games sold around that much anyway I think, so I'd say it was a really big chart hit. And not just in the charts, the song was quite popular too, since there was so much talk about Video Games and Lana Del Rey in general on the Internet at that time. I was getting quite annoyed, because every website I went on people would be talking about her endlessly.

It might be her first hit in other spheres though. It could be her first big radio hit (I don't know how her other singles did, but I never heard them much on the radio), and also it's looking to be her first big chart hit in the US.

lol. It's kind of true though, the song is verging on nursery rhyme territory.

Yeah I hardly ever heard her hits on UK radio - strangely, they were played all the time on Cypriot radio.
'Summertime sadness' was such a huge number 1 hit in my country Lebanon, so when she performed it live here in Byblos, Lebanon 2 weeks ago everyone just went mad for it and started screaming throughout the whole song...
I love that Eliza Doolittle basically reeks of 'early 00s Woolies bargain bin flopstar' yet keeps on scoring these big hits!
Why are people liking that Eliza Doolittle song? There are no redeeming features AT ALL. It physically feels as if your ears are bleeding when you listen to it.
 10. Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness (Lana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais) [Cedric Gervais Remix] [Radio Edit]

Basicly because taste is personal and everyone likes something else
