No.1 Predictions time!

This week: Avicii

Next: Avicii or perhaps John Newman if he's lucky

Week after: Hannah Montanna <3

Week after that: Hannah Montanna or perhaps John Newman/ Lana if they're lucky

Week after that: Lady GaGa for 4 weeks with Applause,

Then: Katy Perry

Looks like a good streak of no.1s are coming y'all! Best of the year if this happens.

There is no way John Newman is returning to number 1 - he's holding up well but Avicii is selling three times as much

The UK doesn't give a shit about Britney.

This.

Looks like Madonna was right allll those years ago, back in 200...3? when she said something like she couldn't see them having careers (the pop princesses of the time) like her. Look how she's acting with GaGa instead.

That awwkard moment when everyone gets excited that Britney Spears is nearly top 50. Shouldn't she be Top 10?

She hasn't done well in UK for a while, and plus this is only a song for the Smurfs Soundtrack.

59p songs in the top 100:

 20 Toploader - Dancing In The Moonlight

 36 Ke$ha feat. will.i.am - Crazy Kids

 39 Imagine Dragons - It's Time

 44 Gabrielle Aplin - Home

 49 David Guetta feat. Sia - Titanium

 54 Ben Howard - Only Love

 55 Chase & Status feat. Delilah - Time

 63 DJ Fresh feat. Rita Ora - Hot Right Now

 64 Jessie J - Domino

 69 Birdy - Skinny Love

 81 Leona Lewis - Run

 82 Radiohead - Creep

 84 Jay-Z - 99 Problems

 88 Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)

I think Avicii will be #1 for a few more weeks. John Newman is too far behind, and dropping too, Miley will at best debut at #2 behind him I think. Lana is looking sure for top 10, but #1 is a bit much, I can't see it selling 100,000 in a week to get there.

Don't know a lot of the new releases except Eliza, which sounds too inoffensive that its actually VERY offensive. Ugh. Hopefully, Lana has a shot at top 5 if she keeps climbing so quickly, I still think there's a chance it could go to number 1, although it would need a quieter week.

 12. Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais // Summertime Sadness

:left: 18. Eliza Doolittle // Big When I Was Little

 59. Britney Spears // Ooh La La

 74. AlunaGeorge // You Know You Like It

 75. Clean Bandit // Dust Clears

'Ooh La La' hasn't done well anywhere, not even in the USA where she was still easily going to #1 on iTunes with all her new releases until now. It was never going to do well here.

Lana coming for that top 10, woo.

In that case, you NEED to hear Dust Clears if you haven't already cos its amazing  [/predictablepost]

Hope Le Youth doesn't drop too much with the weekend effect, doing really well to still be #47 atm

Titanium 59p again?!? Not that I'm complaining :P

I think it's 59p now for the third week (or so) in a row, but every second month they reduce it. It might be the most times reduced song on iTunes

Re; future #1 singles I predict the following:

04/08/13 = Avicii

11/08/13 = Miley Cyrus :(

18/08/13 = Miley Cyrus or Avicii

25/08/13 = Ellie Goulding or Naughty Boy feat. Emeli Sandé (or Lady GaGa depending on how good the new single is, and how it's released) <--- top 3 consisting of new entries could well happen though

As much as I loved Lana and the remix of 'Summertime Sadness', she deserves to flop after what she said about Gaga bye

 11. Summertime Sadness

So close...

Go Lana, go Lana, go Lana, go Lana, go Lana.....

Yeah...expecting to see an explosion from the Lana "loons" (that I didn't know we actually had) once it reaches top 10

Really does NOT deserve to outpeak Video Games, but there you go
