I recommend 'Scandal' which is easy to race through and has a great mix of characters, or 'The Mindy Project' on the comedy front if you're a 'New Girl' fan.

I REALLY tried with Revenge, but I could not get past the first couple of episodes. I think I found it too confusing and dry, I cant remember. I might give it another go.

 

I have heard good things about Scandal and Once Upon A Time so I will give them a go! And I did like Mindy Project from the few episodes I have seen on E4 before.
