July 31, 201312 yr YES, go on 1D, even if it tumbles down it's the highest peaker to date and a 2nd Digital Songs #1. :D It surprised me how fast Ariana tumbled down on iTunes during the week considering that "The Way" was a considerable hit..
July 31, 201312 yr Good result for them, perhaps a tad surprising they didn't get the #1 considering the YouTube segment of the chart, but the poor airplay certainly doesn't help.
July 31, 201312 yr That's their highest position to date, considering their last single got nowhere near that high it's pretty good. Hoping to see Zedd has climbed a bit outside the top 10, I'll be miffed if not. Edited July 31, 201312 yr by Silver Rocket
July 31, 201312 yr 'Best Song Ever' is still #6 on iTunes so looks like it will give 1D a second proper hit in the US. Good for them I guess. It seems weird that despite being very commercially friendly and without a doubt one of the most popular acts in the USA/worldwide they only really had one *real* hit single to their name, 'Live While We're Young' had a very good peak but plummeted down and aside from that and obviously 'What Makes You Beautiful' they only had a small handful of minor hits. Their albums have done really well though, can't deny that. Boring as fuck top 10 aside from that, as per.
July 31, 201312 yr Quietly hoping that Bastille may have sneakily entered the Hot 100 but I know I'll probably have to wait a couple of weeks (still amazing that they'll realistically enter though!)

They abandoned 'One Thing' while it was performing fairly well on iTunes (admittedly that song was sent to radio far too early, before 'What Makes You Beautiful' was even done), and then never got back on board. With 'Live While We're Young' it was somewhat understandable seeing as it wasn't really popular here either, but 'Little Things' and 'Kiss You' both showed great potential, before airplay ultimately died off.
August 1, 201312 yr Praise that lawd for Robin Thicke for stopping bad music (Miley Cyrus, 1D) from going to #1 :D
August 1, 201312 yr BEP have the most consecutive weeks at #1 (BBP and IGF) but Thicke is not coming for that under any circumstances. Edited August 1, 201312 yr by SKOB
August 1, 201312 yr BEP have the most consecutive weeks at #1 (BBP and IGF) but Thicke is not coming for that under any circumstances. I think I may have just referred to one of Boom Boom Pow or IGF instead of both
August 1, 201312 yr Labrinth up 52 places to #34 with "Beneath your beautiful" Ellie G new at #53 with Burn No sign of Passenger or Bastille yet.
August 1, 201312 yr Does anyone have all of the peaks for One Direction tracks in the US? I know it's only been a brief time but I continue to be impressed by their success.
August 1, 201312 yr 02 Best Song Ever 03 Live While We're Young 04 What Makes You Beautiful 13 One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks) 33 Little Things 39 One Thing 46 Kiss You 98 Rock Me "Kiss You" did better than I remember, pretty good to say airplay isn't great for them WMYB aside.
