Keith Urban has been confirmed as a judge but nobody else has.

It is stated that Jennifer Lopez wanted to return but has been turned down and also that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj will not be returning (Minaj is no great loss) and Randy Jackson hasn't changed his mind.

 

Who would you like to see as a judge that won't take the spotlight from the contestants?

These would definitely know what the contestants are going through.

Perhaps they'll go back to having three judges...like when Simon Ellen and Kara were replaced with only J-Lo and Steven.

Obviously it doesn't make much of a difference either way.

 

All I want is an end to the revolving door we've seen the past few years! I'll be happy with just about anyone, as long as they're willing to commit to 5+ years...but maybe I'm just stubborn.

Casper Smart, J-Lo's boyfriend, has said that she is definitely returning to the show, but it is yet to be officially confirmed.

I've heard that Jennifer Hudson is in talks to be a judge, I'd love that! Although saying that, has to be Carrie <3 I would die of loon excitement. She's said before that she doesn't want to do anything like that though because she hates saying no to people and wouldn't like to be the one who ruins their dream, aw bless her :lol:

Despite rumors to the contrary, Pop producer Dr. Luke will not be joining American Idol as a judge on season 13, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. A source told THR that Idol was simply too much of a time commitment for Dr. Luke, who has his own label imprint and wants to use it to break new artists.

The Hollywood Reporter later reported that Harry Connick, Jr. was signed to be the third and final judge.

I agree though, Dr. Luke would have been interesting!!

Harry Connick Jr. seems to ALWAYS be on as a mentor or whatever, that would totally make sense.

Yes J-Lo :wub: Keith was decent last season so I'm fine with him also. Wish Nicki or Mariah could've stayed though. :( Mariah and J-Lo on the same panel would've been amazing

Great to have J Lo back and the Will & Grace dude will remind me of Will & Grace so he's a winner for me also. Shame Mariah couldn't have stayed on as she suited Idol so well, it was Minaj that was out of place/depth last season.

I missed a lot of the auditions/Hollywood rounds but based on last week I remember liking Majesty, Jena, and MK. I was glad to see Kristen get the lowest votes.

 

And while I don't mind the results show having the likes of JAKE BUGG (last week) and KODALINE (this week) as guest performers, they really need to aim a bit higher. Maybe they'll get Christina Perri *.*

My favorites would be Jena, Majesty, and Malaya.

Too bad my favorites from the top 30 Briana and Bria Anai didn't make it to the top 13

I'm not actually watching this series but I've seen bits on YouTube and this series seems a bit shit... I saw the black girl with glasses and braces singing I Am Changing and it was pretty weak (she can sing but there wasn't enough power behind it for a song like that), plus the short haired woman (MK or something) singing Make You Feel My Love which was average. Majesty Rose is amazing though :wub:
