So up for some Timbaland productions!

'The 20/20 Experience' really showed he's still got it (along with the Empire soundtrack)!

confused with ri ri lately, so when is r8 expected out, and what will the genre be, iv not enjoyed bitch better have my money, american oxygen ok and fourfive seconds but there no only girl and s and m etc, so whats happening with ri ri, can we expect some pop stompers or will it be the same :( i know shes been quiet having a well deserved break but i want her to come back with a bang and it not be the beginning of the end :D

There's currently nothing known about R8 apart from the singles and a few snippets. It's mostly urban sounding as far as I know.

But appaz she went into recording again to re-record the album so right now we are completely in the dark as to what is happening or when a new singles is coming or even what genre is up there

(Merging this with the R8 thread btw)

FFS and BBHMM were both amazing, but I want the Rihanna who produces polished hits back. Something on the level of the incredible Diamonds!

News from Rihland.

On Rihanna's snapchat story she posted a few videos of her bopping to tracks and then later snapped this

Rihanna desperately wants new tracks from British artists for her eighth album

'Rihanna is desperate for an edgy sound that will appeal to a European market as well as America,' claims source

Frantic Rihanna has been bombarding UK songwriters and artists for new tracks.

After her much hyped Bxxxh Better Have My Money flopped, the Bajan superstar , 27, has dumped a load of material from her upcoming eighth album and is scrambling around for tunes.

It’s been three years since Rihanna’s last album Unapologetic was released and her new one was due out earlier this year but keeps getting pushed back.

A source says: “Rihanna is desperate for an edgy sound that will appeal to a European market as well as America.

“She’s keen to emulate the same smash-hit success she had with Calvin Harris’ We Found Love in 2011. So far she doesn’t feel the songs she has are delivering the full package.

“Her people have put in calls with the best songwriters on their books and requested they drop everything to help.

“Usually writing camps are set up where hundreds of songwriters are invited to spend a few days coming up with tracks for her. This time they’ve gone direct to guaranteed hit-makers as there’s no time to waste.”

Unfortunately for RiRi the violent video for BBHMM - which only reached No27 in the UK and No15 in America – got more attention than the song.

Kanye West , 38, was drafted in to executive produce the new record and featured on the first single FourFiveSeconds alongside Paul McCartney, 73.

It was a Top 5 hit in both the UK and America.

Our source adds: “Rihanna wants another vintage album like Rated R and won’t put anything out until she’s happy.”

We’re sure it’ll be worth the wait. Another Rude Boy would do nicely for our iPods please.

I am here for another 'Rated R' *.*

"Personally I'm anticipating new music from Rihanna and Kanye West -- it's just a matter of time until we get to hear it!"

As long as we don't hear ha vocals #pray4R8
Part-time singer and full-time footwear designer Rihanna has talked about her new album!

Don’t get too excited though.

“It’s not done!”

Those are three words she says in an interview with Popjustice’s Peter Robinson, in the out-tomorrow new issue of NME. She adds: “To me it’s never done until it’s done. Until the final moment.”

Part of this is down to Kanye West, who announced earlier this year that he was exec producing the album. “Now we just have to wait to get back in the studio together,” Rihanna explains. “His schedule and mine are totally opposite right now, but I think this month we’ll be back in the studio.”

But does she have enough songs for an album? Yes she does thanks very much.

“I have so many songs I love – and they’re so different – that it’s hard to actually put them all on the same album.”

Here’s an idea. Chuck out twelve on Friday, another twelve the week after, and then twelve every week until the end of Q4.

:arrr:

:')

This hoe. She deserves to flop at this point and wtf is Kanye still doing there

"It's Not Done"?

3 words I do not want to hear from Rihanna in regards to a new album! :drama:

Serving those Adele teas. R8 comes when 25 comes.

Get ready for album of the decade.

For the 2020s *.*

tbh I am convinced Kelly C ate R8, there is no other explanation
She's not fat, just getting older. -_-

The exaggerations

Rih only started recording last year. I'd rather wait than her rush release just to satisfy impatient fans.

And It's pretty clear now the album never existed. Just a collection of recordings with no direction.

I don't think we're exaggerating, at least 80%of the navy is fed up with waiting.

First she takes a break, which is something we all wanted.

Then in January she releases 45S. It's a good song, but is it living up to the hype after a 2 year long break between albums? No. But the hype sustains.

Then she releases BBHMM, which puts off a lot of her popfans and kills momentum.

Then the TIDAL exclusive American Oxygen happens, which puts off even more people and when it eventually gets released it flops and is a major hype-killer

Next up is a wait. A very long one, in which we see Rih designing shoes, socks and getting drunk on holiday. Oh and sometimes she records as well.

Then news pours out that the album isn't even finished as she's waiting for Kanye. Why is he executive producer when the era has been a disaster so far?

Why can't she do it herself like she did with her previous albums? Why does she HAVE to wait? Kanye is putting her career and era on hold for what?

An album full of timeless hits like American Oxygen and FourFiveSeconds?

Now it's been nearly 3 years since Unapologetic and we're as close to getting and album as we were 2 years ago.

Why did she rlease FourFiveSeconds when she was never close to finishing it? Who releases 3 songs from a non-existing album? She must be recording for a year now.

She got our hopes up and saw all the thirst for Rihanna music be destroyed by releasing these 3 songs.

She had the perfect oppurtunity to come back with a massive bang and set the music scene afire and maybe finally have first week sales over 250k like her peers do.

For comparison:

Una was recorded in 6 months or less

TTT was recorded in less than 9 months, mostly when she was TOURING

Loud was recorded in 7 months, while she was TOURING and FILMING Battleship

Rated R was recorded in 7 months and she was WRITING for that album

#R8 must be taking over a year or so now, it's still not finished and what is she doing besides it? Designing socks and shoes, while going on holiday?
